Admiration Time! (a game of encouragement)

Ok, I thought it would be fun to have a positive game! Here are the rules:

1. Post a comment about someone on the board whose hair you admire or inspires you. It doesn't have to be long, thick, Brastrap, etc. It could be someone who has been hanging in there for a long time after setbacks and they inspire you to keep going too.

I'm late for work right now so I'm only going to post one user and that is ALEXSTIN because her progress pics in her sig are amazing!!! Very inspirational!

So anyone else want to play?

(This is NOT to hand out compliments to just one or two users- rather to encourage all of us and know that we all have the ability to admire and support each other in our hair care journey!)

Goal #1 - I hate to say that I did not get this sister's name but she is my APL goal! Sorry for the no name!
Goal #2 - Macherieamour is my BSL goal. I just love the health of her hair.
Goal #3 - Chicoro, my greatest hair inspiration is my WL. I hope to have the same length and thickness when I'm done!

I love Dlewis' hair. It's so shiny, her rollersets are the bomb, and she's had great growth.

Ravenivygirl has such beautiful natural hair she makes me wanna transition.

I forget the name, but her hair is so pretty. She has red hair that's she grown out from a short cut to shoulder length in a year, and it looks so healthy.

I love Babygurl's hair b/c it looks attainable...by that I mean she started out w/ hair at a length like mine, so it let me know that it's possible for hair like mine to grow that long. I've been stalking her album for almost a year, and whenever I'm discouraged it makes me feel better.

Let's see. For me, Bubln and Peachtree are the first natural heads to come to mind. I aspire to the health and beauty of their hair. And Babygurl has blown me away with her progress since I last saw her hair. There are many more and I'll have to add them later as I think of them.

I love Dlewis and CBC's hair. Their hair always looks so full and bouncy and thick! Beautiful healthy hair!

I also admire KhandiB's hair. She has the worst case of hair anorexia that I have ever seen but I LOVE HERE HAIR! It's full and thick and shiny!

Bubbln's hair and Poohbear are natural heads of hair that make me go WOW!

I love Brandi's hair! I believe she's a member from London with natural hair. I remember she had a pic of her afro blow out in her fotki that was incredible! I also second Alexstin as a relaxed head; my hair wants to be like her hair when it grows up...

There are so many!

Sistaslick and Don'tSpeakDefeat were the very first ladies to inspire me and I still look to their threads and fotkis for inspiration. Sareca is my henna hero!! She is wonderful and patient in offering information and suggestions and her hair is thick and healthy. Macherieamor - geez! Love this lady's hair and also her simple regimen got me off my new to LHCF/use too many products out of excitement kick. lololol Cocowhite's hair is so awesome and beautiful. Kinikakes is my fine-haired sistah with the length I long for. My hair is fine as well. Victorious' hair is a true inspiration and HighlyFavored is great too! Last but not least, Ambitious1013 - my hair twin - from short and jazzy to shoulder length beauty (with color!!!)..she's what's up!

I have to look at the names and come back to post again. But in the meantime, I really have a new appreciation and admiration for all of the natural ladies' hair here. Beautiful textures, lengths, thicknesses and styles. I'm a relaxed kind of girl, myself, and the last time I was natural was in the 70's when I was in highschool. (My big 'fro was pretty cool! )

Anyway, I have a renewed pride in our gorgeous textures and the versatility of our hair.

So for now, I'm shoutin' out first to all of my natural LHCF sisters.

BabyBlue is my Hair Inspiration! I love her hair! Its so thick and full. Hopefully my hair will look like hers a year from now.

Jasmine26 is a very close second though! I really like her hair and we have very similar regimens/products.

I don't mean to sound insincere, but really, everybody on here (who's pics I've seen) has fantastic hair! It may be the shine, the style, the cut, the length, the creative twists or braids...but it's all been so great for me to see! There are simply too many lovely heads of natural or relaxed hair for me to name them individually.

Because of all of you, I've been assimilated into the world of "healthy hair care", and I don't mind one bit! :assimilat

OMG, those were the first ones to come to my mind too. Plus, when I was debating the whole "going natural without knowing my hair type thing," Pooh had my back and was very encouraging. Thanks girl. I hope to pass that to someone else one day.

Okay let's see, who else. There have been TONS of ladies that I've emailed admiring their hair. Bubln and So1913 are my hair type idols. I would love curls like theirs. Sylver2 is my length and thickness idol. Angellazette and SweetAKA (SKEE WEE) are my hair growth idols. MizaniMami, Apples, Anky, and Macherieamour are my straight/relaxed hair idols.

ETA: Oh and Sistaslick and Supergirl are my hair "knowledge" idols. They know soooo much.

If you don't know checkout Ambitious1013. It was her pretty color that stopped me in my tracks and then I saw her progress shot the other day and I was blown away. Her progress inspires me.
