I have been continuing to rinse my hair despite the cold, I wrap my hair in a towel afterwards and when it is damp, if I have to go out, I wear my beret, which has a satin lining and my hood, so I don't have the problem of my head getting cold. Plus I am putting my hair in Chinese bumps, so that ends will remained tucked in, will be moist.

So if I increase my washing my hair will grow faster, I thought it was because the pores and follicles weren't blocked.

Just a thought but could it not actually be the washing itself but the stimulation to the scalp if you are washing your hair daily? I thought massaging the scalp promotes hair growth. So I would guess the massaging while you wash your hair would be beneficial

I was reading some old health magazine when I learned that plants and hair are similar in most aspects. They both need watering, pruning and care. So I, being an inquiring mind, asked my green-thumbed aunt and grandmother what it takes to get their plants big, tall and healthy. Their answers were nothing new; fertilizer, a little plant food, and plenty of fresh water and sunlight. The key to it all was the soil. The soil alone can grow a plant, but the fertilizer and plant food help to speed things up. As we all learned from fourth grade science class, warm moist soil delivers nutrients to the root of the plant, enabling it to grow.
Did they know that African violets would die if watered daily???
