Two weeks ago I had my first weave installed with the intention of it being protective style. The stylist charged me $170 for what I know now was a raggedy weave job. It didn't look all that bad at the salon, but later on it became increasingly obvious to me that that I'd been jipped. I had bumps, lumps, and she left my edges out to the point where it was obvious I had a weave in due to the different textures. I'm relaxed and the remi goddess I used was extra silky.Anyway, before the first week was even out I had a track loosen and made an appointment for her to fix it. She cancelled and I didn't even get a chance to get back to her overpriced salon. Yesterday I began to wash it and the entire track loosened. I was already too through with the weave so I just decided to take it down.
I don't know what she thought she was doing, but it was a big mess underneath all that hair. The threads were all over the place and at looks like she actually glued a bundle of hair to the top of my head (Was that supposed to be some kind of bootleg closure?) and I tracks in all kinds of directions and sewn together. It took me 3 hours to get out and then I saturated my hair with a conditioner/oil mix and took down the braids. I had huge knots of hair coming out of my head. I did the best I could with detangling and hair was coming out all over the place. I did a protein treatment But the worst came when I deep conditioned.
I used the ORS deep conditioner, and when I got ready to rinse...it was like I web. I just settled down on the floor and slowly untangled,
My hair is just weak and thin. I'm 10 weeks post and I'm not sure a relaxer is what it needs right now so I guess I'll be stretching further. I'm not really sure what to do to get my hair back.

.
I would have been all up and through that shop on her day to come in so she (and other customers) can see the mess she created. Good luck with your hair! I'm sure it will bounce back.
That is so awful!!! I can understand why you just wanted that foolishness off and out of your head ASAP. I'm not the confrontational type to be in the shop arguing with someone like that, even if they DO deserve it.
