Now that I have a TWA, do I continue to wash and condition it normally or is there something specific that I should do to keep it from drying out or becoming crazy looking while it grows out.
For the first couple months I conditioner washed every morning, added moisturizer (ie. s-curl, CD hair milk, etc.) then went over it with an oil like African Royale Hot Six. Sometimes during the day I would spritz with a little more moisture. Once a week I would poo with CON and deep condition with conditioner with warm evoo added. Now that I'm approaching 3 months natural its not as easy to pick and go. I find myself braiding it some nights and leaving it that way a couple of days (still spritzing with moisture and coating with oil each day) then undoing the braids and wearing it out. This makes it easier to comb, I get to show more length and my hair gets a break from being handled too much. You really have to take it one day, one week at a time because your hair's needs will change. Good luck Landakaye!
