Ok, I'm 8 weeks today. I washed 4 days ago, I wrote on another thread that my hairdresser is a good guy but his shop is bootleg and I'm UNdecided about his perm it's his own line (Eddie's Unisex). I have been wanting to go back to affirm. So today, I made appt for 7:00 at JCPenny I had the stylist before she is ok I asked about the switch lye to no lye she said she won't "overlap" That's a good thing and she said if it don't look good condition (which it is) she would not do it.

My dilema is should I leave, Eddie, he is a sweetheart and I prefer males or should I forsake the bootleg shop for a closer to home, professional shop, that takes checks and credit cards???

Help I'm confused and need to decide, like now. Hellppp I have mixed emotions and I value yall's opinion

Mindymouse,

Do what you think is best for your hair. Eddie will just have to understand. My hair stylist understands that I am on a tight budget. I only go to her for touchups and she is completely understanding. Her only request is that If I can't manage to keep my healthy to start coming to her regularly.

MindyMouse,

Would Eddie consider getting the Affirm or letting you get it, and apply it for you? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

If in your gut, you don't feel good about the product that Eddie is using and he is not willing to use what you would prefer, then it's probably good to go ahead and switch. We women just have these instincts and it seems like your instincts are letting you know what's up.

Good Luck!

That's true. I went to the JCPenney salon after praying. The lady is really nice and she does like I say - I ask for a roller set and she said we close at nine and your hair probably will take an hour to dry. Then she said I'll work fast so we get you under the dryer quicker. And she stayed til (:15 til I was completely dry. BUTTTT I told her I wanted Affirm, LYE and she gave me the Sensitive scalp one that conatins Guanidine (SP) /images/graemlins/confused.gif

It looks good ans she said if I'm not satistied that she will deep conditon for free 3 times and then switch me. I like that she at least offered to help the hair. She said she is convinced that my hair did well with this and I did have it for 9yrs prior to the Eddies . Soooo, we shall see.

Does anybody get the Sensistive Scalp Formula??

Re: 911 Guys I need Help/Quick Advice From my Peep

never used the sensitive scalp formula. I used to get the lye one and it was great! The thing about the no-lye is that it is drying to the hair but the drying effect is not noticeable for some time. Sometimes, that hair (relaxed with no-lye) may make it to your ends before you notice a prob. Again, if you prefer the lye--insist on it. Also, when is she talking about switching you to it? At least give it 6 weeks (I'm sure she knows that though --DUH ME!)

BTW, I'm thinking about going to a JC Penney Salon too.
