I have a wonderful almost 7 month old son. He has absolutely beautiful curly hair. My only problem is that it feels very dry in certain areas. I want to know what i can use to moisturize his hair that is baby friendly. I plan on letting it grow.

Thanks in advance

DM,

I do not have any children, but my Grandmother had hair like silk that was past her bum. She only ever used extra virgin olive oil on my mom, aunt and uncle's hair. When they got older she used pure coconut oil that she made herself - she was from Jamaica. They all had gorgeous hair until they grew up and then started to put "stuff" in thier hair.

You can also try the Motions hair products line that is specifically created for kids. Here is the link. Hope this helps. http://www.motionshair.com/b_MforK.cfm.

They have Motions For Kids™ Oil Moisturizer, and a Comb Out & Detangling Spray that may prove beneficial. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Good Luck!

How about using jojoba oil...I used this on my daughter since she was a baby and I love it....it works better for her than the olive oil..the olive oil made her exema(sp) worst.

I agree about the jojoba, I use it on my 8 month old....well, not his hair, his dry skin patches. His older brother has eczema, and it started out just like this - with small spots here and there on his legs, arms, and side. The jojoba is very mild and light and I use it now on both my boys.

On a side note, I also use the olive oil, but now I only use it a pre-bath ointment. I think it helps.

I also agree that jojoba oil should be good. Of all natural/plant oils, Jojoba is the closet match to human sebum secretions.
