Count me in! I'm CBL right now :perplexed and due for a relaxer in the next couple of weeks. That will be my starting point.:thumbsup:
 
Here's my NEW and IMPROVED HAIR REGIMEN to help me get to APL.

What's yours?


Daily
Morning
Use lacio lacio or salerm 21 throughout hair with evoo
Seal ends with jamacian castor oil
Clip hair up or wear a bun

Nightly
Apply MTG to scalp, M-TH and Sunday
mositurize same as morning
braid hair up and put on satin bonnett

Conditioner Wash
Tuesday/Wednesday
Apply Nacidit Olive Oil Rinse and EVOO to hair
Let sit 20 mins, wet hair and start to detangle
Rinse hair and gently squeeze water
Apply a leave in- I'm using Lacio Lacio Salerm 21 and La Bomba in the rotation
Put in two braids and seal ends with jamacian castor oil


Deep Condition
Prepoo with EVOO or Jamaican Castor Oil
Use Silcon Mix,La Bomba or Lekair Cholestrol
Sit under deep conditioning heat cap for 20-25 mins
Rinse hair with Nacidit Olive Oil and gently squeeze water
Apply a leave in- I'm using Lacio Lacio Salerm 21 and La Bomba in the rotation
Let Air Dry

With goals, my hair grows a little bit over .5"/mo

I'd like to join. Hopefully I'll get over this stump and be APL by December. My hair has been shoulder length for years, (with no real cuts:ohwell: ). SO it's time for me step it up and retain my length.:grin:

I need about 2-2.5 inches to be at APL I think. I've got some problems these times, so I didn't make it for June. I'm still at the same lenght since the beggining of the year. But fortunally, I've gained some thickness ^^
I don't really like my ends, but that's not the point. I went some lenght !

My regimen will be :

  • Healthy habits : 1.5 L of water/day, plenty of veggies & fruits, proteins, exercise (stretching, hip hop abs, turbojam), Vits (Multi, Beer Yeast, Zinc ) EVERY SINGLE DAY !
  • Moisture : Olive oil moisturizer at am & pm, seal the ends with castor oil
  • DC : Motions CPR/ ORS replenishing pak, every week
  • CW : Pantene Pro-V R&N, Main & Tail, Sunsilk, twice a week
  • Protection : Sleep with satin cap, Protective styles (bun, rollersets, comb hair once a week), No direct heat
  • Stimulation : Scalp massage every night, essential oil & everything...

I don't know if its to late or not and I have no ideal what the rules are but I guess you have to make a promise of sorts and stick to it. I am not sure what I want to do but I want to do something different to get to armpit. I set a goal of one year but I thought it would be nice to make it to armpit by Christmas. I will keep pictures in my fotki. I have to it keeps me going but I won't change my siggy

keep wearing my hair up. I like that anyway so thats not a problem. I love CW so that won't change I keep thinking of a way to change it but can't love it to much.

I should be able to do this. My tail in my avatar was APL but it got cut off last Thursday. I think I can...I think I can...I think I can...:clapping: (cheering myself on)
 
  • What am i going to be doing to reach APL?
  • Pre-pooing, Pooing, Pre conditioning (thanks to macherieamor) and DCing between once and twice a week.
  • MTG Every Other day...about 3-4times per week
  • Transitioning to Keracare...Making keracre my staple and using aveda DR as alternate.
  • Taking MSM, Flaxseed Oil and Biotin supplements everyday.
  • Moisturise hair daily.
  • Baggy ends under phony pony
  • Eat protein rich diet

but they kinda didnt come out so hot lol

I want in on these challenges (haha) . I'm a newbie, I've done well but I got a grip to learn. Just got what APL meant ....so Yeah i'm IN!

So VItmans are like a must I"m guessing - so I need to get one ..does it matter which one? special ones?
the plan is:
I am going to reduce heat and moisturize daily. Wear more protective styles. Continue to DC every 2 weeks. Wash with my poo and condition every week, unless I have one of my mega work out sessions. Keep air drying, I rarely blow dry.
Stretch out my relaxer for at least 3 months, if I can't hang i'll probably braid it... tsk tsk..(hey,they got me this far.)
I finally got to my natural color... so I guess i'll hold off on chemicals too.:p

The pic is my starting point it was like 3 days ago.
 
I want in on this challenge! I'm a newbie also and trying to get a regimen together but so far I'm dc 2x a week, co-wash 3x a week, wearing protective styles (bun) and no heat. I'll be finding some vits this week.

I just HAD to bite another thread like this one that ends this month ;) I know there are a ton of shoulder length ladies out there right now that will hit apl or longer by the end of the year 07 with the right techniques (patience, water, vit's, no heat, etc) for THEM.

So, I'm putting it out there now so you have a few weeks to stop all your naughty habits:lol:.

Anyone that joins can you please post a pic of your hair as a starting point?

congrats ! Your hair seems very very thicker ! It's the first step before long hair don't worry ! :yep:

Your Hair looks Thicker and Longer and I wish I could get thickness and length in one growing cycle usually its thickness and 2.5 months later its length:wallbash: I think you will definately make the deadline at this rate.
 
I dont remember if I said this yet, but Im in. I hate when I post on something then forget about it cause I was bored and came through and found this again and wasnt sure. :blush: Oh well, the point is Im in!

Ive never really been too obsessed with my length because I always lose it overtime to trimming or breakage, but I guess since Im trying to get healthier hair while I transition its something else I can look forward to. I would have never let myself get that far unless it was healthy and thick and looking good. so now is my chance! I was actually APL when I straightened before I trimmed the first time this summer, so maybe I can actually enjoy it when I get back to it, because Im tired of my hair grazing my shoulder everyday... :yawn:
