I'm exited about this challenge! I hope i can achieve it by december though. I think my hair grows slower than average.:ohwell:

dun dun dunnnnnnnnnn.

i'm excited about this challenge, too.

i think i'll be able to make it by the end of december (even though i might be a "stretch")

at least, i think i'll be close to it.

Bre-Bre, I am SO in. This was a personal challenge for me before I even knew this one existed! :) APL, here I come. ;)

Hey ladies,
How do you guys get the line across to depict the APL? I want to do this to my starting photo...anyone?

I'm in too!!! I also will stay away from poos w/ SDS or ALS. I'll be taking those vitamins and hiding my hair. I can't wait to see how close/far I am from APL---I'm getting a relaxer in a few hours

You can either use a towel tucked under your armpit, and take the photo, or open a photo in MS Paint and draw the line on using the art tools, save it as a jpg and then load it to your photo program.

Hey ya'll:wave: Count me in!!! My hair grows extremely slow so I'm hoping I'll make it by December:ohwell: . My starting pic is in my avatar. See ya'll at APL!

Thanks SkinnyMocah! .

Consistency will be the key for me. I need to stop combing so much and I need to focus on thickening up my crown area.:)

Ok. This is my updated starting pic. Taken June 20th. Now that I've drawn the APL line on my photo, I realize I have alot of work to do...:ohwell:

But the real question what are going to do to get those inches?
I think I'll keep using MTG 5-6 days a week and I'm gonna get serious about my pre-poos and DC. I also plan on using only domician hair conditioners and leave-ins. I working on getting my regimen together. Love this thread! Good luck ladies.

Good question!
I'll be hiding my hair as much as possible (I'm going to buy a new wig).
Cardio, vitamins & maybe Surge for more growth...I'm not totally sure on the topical growth product yet.

what will i be doing to get the inches?

+ improving my diet
+ upping my water intake
+ adding a multi-vitamin/mineral
+ exercise
+ getting proper amounts of sleep
+ LR and BT

I'm in  ! I have to setup my new computer and printer and then I will be able to add my udate pictures! Here's what I'm doing for this challenge:

Consistently take my vitamins
Drink more water
little to no (direct) heat

I'm now joining. But with my hair, only one side will reach armpit, while the other side hangs an inch above. LOL, I have lopsided hair. I have cut it to even it out, and it still grows back uneven. I have a recent pic from June 2007 below.

You and me both - but as long as they both grow we'll be o.k in the end;)

This has been my personal goal for the last year....but joining this challenge will give me the formal motivation to stick to my regimen to reach it. So Im In

To reach my goal I will be continue with the LHCF Bootcamp but be more consistent with my hair regimen including my vitamins.

I hope to be APL by my birthday so I will be in the challenge from July 15-December 15, which will only be five months so I better get to growing

My most recent pic is in my siggy....I believe that is from the end of April.

Try Cantu Shea Butter leave in repair cream. Its $5-6 for a 16oz jar at the BSS. My jar has lasted more than a month and a half and I use it at least once daily...usually twice daily.
