5 mg biotin- MY NAILS LOOK LIKE CRAP!

This is not a problem because I know that with more care I could grow my nails, but I find this funny. Why all the sucess stories with biotin and nails with minimal care and my nails are constantly chipping.......... INWARDLY! By inwardly, I mean the layers are feeling and flaking off not just the top. Freaky dude.

Maybe the is some other nutrient that aids nails that you are lacking. Like calcium, or protein.

Whenever you start taking a nutrient for the nails the older part of the nails that grew in before the nutrient will be weaker. For some reason that portion has to grow out and shed before you will be ble to see any real length. Any way that's the way it has always been for me.

As soon as the old nail is gone, my nails shot off and were strong without chipping.

Even tho I hate the chalky taste, tums is an excellent source of calcium... i hear the soft dissolves ones are much better.

Hmm....that could explain why my already very short nail grew faster than any of the other ones. All the other nail was already gone. Thanks. I'm gonna file them down and see what happens from there because the way they look now?! sheesh! unreparable! Thanks so much!
