I do rollerset after every wash now. I dont get to wear the rollerset out much though because the humidity has other plans for my hair lol

I more or less decided on a camera, then the company launched a new one! So they have me thinking about it now. I'm hoping to get my first videos up in the next couple of weeks...

*raises hand* Another 4b without detangling issues!! Praise God!! Doing EVERYTHING in sections cut that out. I mean everything: prepooing, washing, cowashing, conditioning, detangling, banding, and styling.

OP: Yeah!! I agree. We don't have enough 4b's on YT. Congrats on your success. You've reached goals I've set for myself. I look forward to all you can offer that has helped you get there.

I would like to see hair care and regimen videos for 4b hair. My brother has about 4 inches of 4b hair up top and really bad breakage in the back (to the point of near baldness in some spots) and I'm always on the look out for simple techniques he can use to turn his hair around.

(I bought him a satin pillow and in a month those baldish spots were gone! His biggest issue is moisture.)

ETA: I recommend the Canon PowerShot SD940IS 12.1MP. I bought this on amazon.com and was floored by the video and audio quality. This little thing can replace a camcorder. It also has great battery life and it's fast (shutter speed for pics).HTH

I've never had any issues with detangling, either. I guess it must be the products I use, and keeping my hair moisturized. (I am a natural 4b. My hair switches to 4a when I henna.)

I don't really watch YT, but I just wanted to say good luck! I recently became aware that 4B is underrepresented on YT, so I will keep an eye out for you, and support your channel.

A 4B natural hair guru on YouTube!! I've been waiting a loooong time for this ... most of the 4Bs I see on YouTube (few & far between) are beginners, or if they are veterans, they are not consistent w/ video tutorials

I would so support your channel if you presented "all of the above" ... from moisturizing your hair, your entire wash/detangle/condition/style routine in whatever order you do it, tricks of the trade to prevent excessive tangles & knots, creative styles, products or homemade recipes that keep your hair supple & strong & scalp clean, etc ....

Like was stated before, your subscribers will let you know what they would love to see ... I've noticed (from watching certain YouTubers whose channels became very popular over time) that if you start out with very detailed videos about your natural hair journey(containing lots of pics, good music & text - not a lot of rambling), your normal hair routine(s) and fav products, people will be satisfied w/ creative hair styling videos from that point onward...once your channel takes off, you can always refer people to your earlier regimen videos once they ask questions and then post up-dated regimen/product videos if your routine changes down the line or if there are a multitude of issues that are not addressed in your earlier videos

Also I too can't stand it when videos are not clear & professional or when the person rambles or gossips for 10 minutes without clear direction of where their video is going .. I think it's GREAT that you are considering the production as well as the content b/c both are important and the only way you can keep a strong, loyal following on YT ... I wish you so much success and commend you for deciding to graciously share your wisdom with others and fill the void on YT for those of us w/ natural 4B hair

So I'm thinking about making Youtube videos. I've been at this hair care thing for a while and I'm almost at my goal length. I reached APL sometime this year (time is blending together) and I'm inching my way to full APL. I don't think I'll be growing my hair much longer than that. I've overcome a lot and struggled through trial and error and numerous setbacks. And im so proud of my hair!

Anyways. While there are many naturals on Youtube, there aren't many pure 4b ladies representing. So what do you ladies want to see on Youtube from 4b heads?

Styling help? Like how to do buns, updos, etc
Technique instructions? Like how to cornrow, or put in extensions
General hair care? Like how to avoid tangles, or the best ways to wash
Or maybe something else I haven't thought of. <-- pick this for 'all of the above' too

No, i haven't yet My camera just came in yesterday! So hopefully in the next week or two the first videos will be out!
