Tomorrow will be my 4th week post relaxer and I still have no sign of hair growth. I’m a bit worried; maybe MTG as lost its touch. I apply it twice a week and I take biotin 1000mcg per day and I take a tsp of Flax oil per day. I have yet to see growth. Am I overreacting? The only change I saw was in my temples. I noticed that my left temple filled up and my right is temple, well hair is appearing and the hair is starting to get darker and it seems as if it is about to fill up.I have been taking Flax oil for a little over a week, my hair seems more moisturized.

Maybe you have new growth, but the texture is so close to the relaxed har you can't tell the difference. I have heard people mention supplements have changed their texture.

I kinda feel the same way. I take two Nioxin, silica, flax oil, evening primrose oil, and MSM. I also use MTG twice a week and NOTHING!! Hey at least your edges are coming in ... I am trying EVERYTHING on my edges, and I am still practically bald there. I would say don't give up. You will drive yourself nuts by checking so much. I have committed to not doing progress checks until my next relaxer. Just an FYI... a lot of ladies said it took them a few months to see results from the vitamins. Too bad they don't have a patience pill. I could definintely use an extra dose of that!

Do you remember when you normally start to see new growth? How long have you've been taking your supplements?

Don't sweat it, I'm sure you'll definitely be seeing it soon.

Well, I haven't been taking any vitamins recently, and my hair has grown more than it ever has. I've been forgetting to take my multivitamin and biotin, but I keep forgetting. I guess I'm not as malnourished as I thought:lol: Don't worry, your hair is probably in the resting stage.

Yeah, i wouldnt worry too much about it girl. The texture of the new growth may just be straight so it's hard to tell. Im sure your hair is growing! Sounds like you are doing all the right things.

Keep us posted.

Yeah I agree w/ the ladies. I thought my hair stopped growing but once I washed and flatironed my hair I my hair grew a little past APL- CONTINUE taking your vitamins, washing and exercising and you will be surprised! It's not growing as fast as I would like but it feels good to know that it is growing!

My friend Sheena just took down here braids(little cornrows in front and a million tiny box braid in back). She had them in for almost 4 weeks. When I help her take them down her new growth seems so straight and shiney. It didn't even look like she has been post relaxer for over 4 months. Well as soon a we washed and dried it, it was a whole other story. So maybe it takes some water or something to show the texture of your new growth. I know that if I spray a little surge 14 on my root, it allows me to see my new growth.
