I'm in but I'm only using it on my edges (a little thinned out, probably from pulling it back so often).

Are you just spraying your scalp?bocagirl said:The Surge 14 has made my hair really dry and it feels very coarse. I surge and let it dry, then oil my scalp and moisturise.
For anyone not experiencing this, what is your routine?
Yes I only spray my scalp, then I let it dry and then oil my scalp and hair with coconut oil. I'm going to the beauty supply store today I may pick up some mango butter.mrslee said:Are you just spraying your scalp?
Also what type of moisture and oil are you using. I use WGO or Scurl while surging. I make sure I do a couple of deep conditioners (moisturizing) as well.
Thanks Dreems, dreemssold said:Boca, I get this as well, but usually only after weeks straight of Surging. One thing that helps me is conditioner washing and adding moisture to my hair right after Surging. Sometimes, though, I think it can just be too much protein, and no matter what I do my hair feels coarse and tangles easily. I have been on the hunt for a super moisturizer, because I know that after 20 more days, I will be having drama. I'll keep you posted should I find a miracle product.
Kitty, I think if you are using Scurl following your Surge now, it can't hurt to mix them together; however, if not, you might want to try them separately to make sure your hair can stand that much protein before mixing the two and potentially wasting some of each product. If you already use them back to back, though, it sounds like a timesaver imho.
