Did you go to a natural hair care salon? That's where I went for my BC and when I got my finger coils put in.

I went to an Aveda Salon to a stylist that was recommended to me by other naturals. I should have known I was in the wrong place when the receptionist immediately assumed I had come for a press. Later, when I met my stylist, she immediately recommended a texturizer. I reminded her of our phone convo and how I wanted to learn easy new styles so I could wear my natural hair out of braids and twists more, and that I particularly wanted to learn to shingle. I was wearing my hair in a shrunken 'fro and when she started working on it, she was surprised to see how long it was, much to my contentment :drunk:. (I love the surprise factor of shrinkage.) When I wouldn't agree to a mild texturizer, she then suggested putting some color in my hair. (Now I've heard of color sometimes changing texture and I really love my hair as it is, so once again, I politely declined.)

Maybe I made her mad by being so stubborn? Maybe she just couldn't deal with 4B hair that length? She seemed so nice that I'm having a hard time believing that she could've been so cruel to cut it out of spite. Yet I can't think of a good reason for a 5+ inch cut on hair that was dusted regularly and handled with the TLC you'd handle a baby. :perplexed

Geez what a *****. :nono:

Hopefully she'll get some appropriate karma right back at her.
