I don't think people would be mad at you (personally) for doing what you want to do with your hair...

...But I think what some people are mad at "in general" is how so many of our sisters and brothers think that they're not beautiful, unless they "Do something" about there naps..... I fall in this group, NOBODY will get ANY approval from me regarding the use of relaxers/texturizers on the hair....Just like I wouldn't advise somebody to pick up smoking lol. I also tend to shy away from "those types of theads" because I already know.....it aint fo' me to be up in there lol.

I'm mostly concerned about my own naps but I do give advice to those who I think want it and are willing to listen......I do my best by leading by example :0). If you "in general" ask me a question then you "in general" can expect the truth.....

Either way its your choice what you do is what you do, and one can't make a person do what they don't want to do anyway.

When its all said and done, life is so much more than hair for me..... you would still be considered my sister......

Well put. You have just elevated natural people up a level. I didn't hear any "you are bad" in that. Thank you for that! :)

Den1- I have relaxed hair and I am still a fan of your hair, texturized or natural, b/c it is so beautiful. I am sure what ever u decide it will be nice. Good luck.

Why would "natural people" be down a level? Just curious. We are all in the same game.

YOU DID! I think its in the book of Mormon or something,

11th Commandment: "Thou shalt have natural hair or none at all."

But I'm still confused, what ARE you going to do? transition? to what? texturize again?
I didn't know that!! i've never read that in the King James bible. However, i don't think having relaxed hair should destroy my relationship with God!!! i don't worship myself!! thou shalt not have any other God, it goes something like that , i think.

ITA its bad when people feel they need a chemical in order for them to feel/or beautiful, remember i was natural 25years I never hated my natural texture....i just wanted a change, its simply a choice.

Girl I told you it's in the book of Mormon!

I ain't playin, shoot your soul is in trouble I'm just tryin to help you before it's too late. Don't believe me post a thread titled Texturizer on NP.com and see how fast you get damned to hell :lachen:

Now, what ARE you going to do?

Den, do what makes you happy! Your hair is beautiful with or without the chemicals. I've been texturized for a little over a year now and I like it. I went to the Jazma site and they referred me to a good stylist (I also was referred by another member...Sweettrini) I think that you should go to Jazma, you can even call them and I'm sure they'll refer you to a good Jazma trained stylist in the UK.

Hi Alli7, thanks for suggesting Jazma, but I'M CERTAIN I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SIT COMFORTABLY IN A HAIRDRESSER'S CHAIR AGAIN. LOL, THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

Off TOPIC @ sprungonhairboards

yes you "in general" can expect to have a MAJOR problem on your hands if you come up on XYZ board starting a post like .....

"Hey guys I just texturized my naps today and it turned out great; I finally got rid of those beady beads! " LOL

...different house, different rules......It pays to READ them FIRST.

LOL I WOULDN'T BE SILLY ENOUGH TO START A POST ON BOARDS LIKE THAT..

Den, whatever you decide I will support you either way. I just transitioned from texturized hair so I know exactly how it is dealing with the two textures. I plan on staying natural this time. However, I do miss the ease of detangling when I had my texturizer. But, I can adapt. It just takes me longer to detangle. I just texturized my sister's hair and she really likes it. I thought about doing it again, because my husband wants me to wear my hair straight "like I did when we first got married". I told him that if he ever cuts his locks, I'll perm my hair. Let's just hope that doesn't happen! But do not let some of the other naturals here and on other boards deter you from doing what you want to do with your hair.

Thick,
When I said elevated I meant that she wasn't catty or demeaning in her post.
I agree we are all in the same game...Just wish more people thought that way.
Hope that helps!

Thanks thickness!!! I'm not going to allow anyone to deter me from my decision, ONLY GOD CAN LOL. I know everything about my natural texture for many years, so i'm not worried about detangling and so forth. i WISH TO EXPERIENCE THE TEXTURIZER FOR A BIT LONGER.....UNTIL I'M READY FOR ANOTHER HAIR STYLE CHANGE lol. I love both natural/texturized but i ended up with relaxed hair and would love to have just a texturizer.
