2024 2025 Pre Poo Challenge

Washday got away from me last week. Used the curlsmith bond salve this week. I mostly use a steaming cap, but I've been experimenting with my garment steamer. Seems to be more effective in less time.

ETA: I'll be Pre-Poo'ing with it for the next Month or so, to give Olaplex #3 a rest :look:

I melted a amla/fenugreek shampoo bar in coconut cream over a double boiler. I then added Soultanicals Hibiscus Healing super food powder and fresh aloe gel. I sat under the hair steamer for 20 minutes. Then rinsed. My hair loved it!
 
I'm currently rotating African Pride Rosemary and Mint oil with Cream of Nature Argan Oil Plex Breakage Defense. I like the oil better because it's easier to work with. But I know I need the bonding and strength aspects of the CON product.
 
Going to use the salicylic acid treatment for my scalp and moisturizing my length with a leave in and coconut oil. I feel like I haven’t properly prepooed in a while. I want to rotate with some Olaplex.

I guess I’ve just been so hair lazy.
 
Can't find my Batana Oil and didn't want to open my b/up - so I pulled out HennaSooq's Sweet Honey Enriching Hair Nourisher.

So, Imma overnight with that instead.
 
Last night I pre-pooed with my homemade growth oil mix. It's based on b the original Curly Proverbs growth mix but I never used it that. Since I don't want it to go to waste, I'll be pre-pooing with it until it's gone.
 
Washed my hair Friday morning with my homemade oil mix. Left it on for about 6 hours on accident. My roots were super soft though after rinsing. I think I'm going to be sad when it's done.

It's a smokey, earthy scent and a little gritty. Almost like Coconut Oil how it emulsifies down.

I am using it as a Pre-Poo. It's okay.

I haven't noticed anything really spectacular. It should be good for Winter Pre-Poo Treatments. I could also use it under my Heat Cap, I guess as a HOT during the Colder months and see how it is this way.

@Bette Davis Eyes and @TamaraShaniece also uses this and can please weigh-in.
