I seriously don't know how I was going through so much oil. I don't know why either. But I'm glad it's gone. I think I was pretty successful about using up sample sizes as soon as I got them.
For session 2, I suspect my progress may slow down a bit due to my hair being loose more often. I do want to put more effort into getting rid of some of the shampoos and Shea Mouisture products. Half the shampoos I've had for over a year and they're already open. A few of the Shea Moisture products are expiring in the next 30-60 days so I need to move them out before they do.

- ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo x1 (I find it to be stripping after a few uses plus it doesn't make a lot of difference in my hair despite the fact that we have hard water here)
- Mielle Organics Babassu Oil DC x1 (I haven't experienced any difference in my hair after using it)
- Herbal Essences Bee Strong conditioner x1 (Bae
Leaves my hair so soft. The comb glides in smoothly. I can detangle my whole head of hair in about 5-10 minutes) - DevaCurl One Condition Decadence x1 (I have only used it as a leave-in so far and it gave me decent results but I need to experiment with it some more to make sure that it gives me good moisture and doesn't cause whitish flakes. In that case, if it turns out to be less expensive that the other leave-ins I'm experimenting with, I might repurchase. Might use up as a rinse out if I decide that I will not repurchase)
- Oriflame HairX Conditioner x2 (Also mainly using it as leave-in. It gives me definite moisture and I love the smell but it tends to leave small flakes if I use too much. I'll have to compare the level of flaking with the other leave-ins I'm experimenting with. Might use up as a rinse out if I decide that I will not repurchase)
- Oyin hair dew x1 (Gives good moisture. It does not flake up as far as I can tell now, but I hate the smell and I think that this is not the original smell of the product. It is also expensive and not easy to get my hands on)
- Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love Moisture Milk x1 (Gives good moisture. It does not flake up as far as I can tell now. The smell in the bottle is very lovely but it changes when I put it in my hair. It is also expensive and not easy to get my hands on)
- Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Leave-in x1 (Just starting to experiment with this. Not sure about the moisture and the flaking factor. The smell is very nice. I love almost all variants of the smell of coconuts but it is very difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. It is also expensive and not easy to get my hands on)
- As I am Leave-in x1 (waiting to experiment with this. It is rather expensive and not easy to get my hands on)
- Giovanni Direct Leave-in x1 (waiting to experiment with this. It is rather expensive and not easy to get my hands on)
- Aunt Jackie Quench Leave-in x1 (waiting to experiment with this. It is not expensive but it has glycerin high up in the ingredients list and probably functions as a curl activator for that reason. I am just starting to experiment with curl activators/glycerin-based products and I'm not yet sure of the effect of this humectant on the hold vs poof behaviour of my hair. I also want to see if they will affect the level of definition and moisture that I can achieve. We will see)
- S-Curl Jel Curl Activator x1 (waiting to experiment with this. It is not expensive but I'm not sure if pure curl activators can be used as leave-ins on their own right)
- Soft n Free Curl Activator Lotion x1 (waiting to experiment with this. Positive point is that it is not expensive)
- Sunflower oil x1 (I love it for oil rinsing whenever I feel that my hair has gone low on the oil level. It leaves my hair soft)
- Coconut oil x1 (I could use it as either an oil rinse or in the LOC method but I'm also using it as body lotion because it's easy to apply and because I'm a sucker for the smell of coconuts)
- Mineral/argan oil x1 (used as the O in the LOC method. I will have to choose between the 3 oils I have depending on the results and the prices)
- Jojoba oil x1 (used as the O in the LOC method. I will have to choose between the 3 oils I have depending on the results and the prices)
- Grapeseed oil x1 (used as the O in the LOC method. I will have to choose between the 3 oils I have depending on the results and the prices)
- Palmer's Coconut Formula Hairdress (used as the C in the LOC method. I love the smell in the jar but it doesn't appear on my hair, probably because I use sparingly. I know that it will last forever but when I run out of it I may not repurchase because I may want to experiment with butter-type creams for this purpose)

- Kinky Curly Curling Custard x1 (Slip under my Wetline gel)
- AVG x1 (I love this for when I'm setting my hair)

- Got2b Ultra Glued Gel x2 (When I used it I got crunch that wasn't easy/possible to SOTC. I will have to revisit. Plus I'm not sure that it adds anything regarding hold)
- Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee x2 (twice I used it without problems and the 3rd time I got crunch that wasn't easy to SOTC. It might have been the leave-in that I was experimenting with or I might have used too much. Or maybe it needs extra moisture underneath. I will also have to revisit to evaluate whether it adds extra hold or not, which is the main purpose I got it for)
- Ecostyler Olive Oil Gel x1 (flakes more and gives less hold than Wetline gel. I'll try to use it up with a zero-flake leave-in and another styler on top or underneath)
- DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel x1 (gives almost no hold. I will probably use up as edge control when I'm doing sleek buns)
- Tresseme Freeze Hold Hair Spray x1 (Used on top of a set, it gives gigantic crunch that is not possible to SOTC. I might revisit to experiment with in WnGs but I am not very hopeful. Might just throw out. How do you guys use hair spray anyway?)
- Aussi Moist Recharge Leave-in Spray x1 (a joke as a leave-in because it is too watery, but I have moved it to another spray bottle to use as hair fragrance when I'm using stinky stuff like Oyin Hair Dew)
- Rhassoul Clay x1 (not sure if it helps with definition but I will definitely revisit when my natural roots grow longer)
- Olaplex N 1, 2 and 3 (Used once. I'm not sure that it made any difference at all in my hair. Will definitely find out as I try to use them up)
- I will repurchase whenever I run out or am about to run out of a staple/HG product
- I might purchase 3 new products/quarter to experiment with, but only if at least 1 product has been used up from the category I wish to purchase in

I was planning to join for Q2-Q4, but I've decided that instead of using products mainly to get rid of stuff, my hair is at a stage where I need to use products for health and growth.
Another poster mentioned that when she made that change, she stopped using products erratically just so she could use stuff up, and the resultant and consistent highly effective routine and consistent product usage grew her hair out long and healthy.
I've finally found HGs and highly effective staples. I need to use them consistently.
I am cheering the group on as I lurk!

What you say makes a lot of sense Yvette. I think that I would never put on my hair something that has a terrible effect on it, or something meh that will obstruct the use of something else that my hair needs. But I also love to experiment with new products whenever it is safe to do so since I haven't yet found HG products in all the categories, or because I'm searching to achieve an improvement in a certain step of my routine. And I think it is wise to give second chances to some products because of the illusions that we can sometimes experience or because of the confounding effects of trying 2 new things at the same time, etc. Having said so, I think that I'm probably going to follow your wisdom and throw away 2 or 3 products on this upcoming round of experimentation. Or I might look into options to donate...

Every 4th wash day, I plan to try a product from my stash. My stash is too large to let all this stuff completely go to waste. Had I not retried that Camille Rose Naturals Style Setter again, I'd have no idea that it's really good for my hair. And I hated it on first use. LOL!

Used up Soultanicals Hair Sorrells. I don't plan on buying anymore of these types of liquid leave ins after I get through my stash. Will stick with water or aloe vera for my (L) because they aint doing much.

I finally used up something! - Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Cleansing Conditioner. I really liked this. I ran out of the Carol's Daughter in the middle of my wash, so I tried Pureology Cleansing Conditioner. I did not like this, so I am going to toss the rest.

My stash isn't decreasing because I am buying new stuff as fast as I using up stuff 
I'm doing WNGs this week so close to using up both the As I Am gel and the Sweet Soul magic gel. They will be gone tomorrow. I bought the TGIN gel today. Yesterday I shampooed with the Mane Choice shampoo and used the conditioner. They aren't big bottles so they won't last long. I cowashed with the generic Nexxus Humectress Conditioner before I did my wng today.
