I know you're getting used to your TWA, but it is too cute on you. :welcome:

Unofficially joining this challenge.

Finally got this wig in 1b, cut the lace and thinned if out a bit today and I love it! Went to order another two and they're sold out.

This wig is so odd it looks different on everyone on YouTube lol. But I decided to wear it with my front out, it looks very natural.
:welcome4:

My scalp has been itching today. I wanted to use some aloe vera gel to soothe it, but dh used it all. 2 whole bottles! I hate him sometimes :( Anywho, I decided to massage my scalp with mn and peppermint oil. It feels a little better.

I probably won't wear my wig on my off days this week so that my scalp can breathe. I'll wash, dc and redo my wig braids Wednesday

So ive made 3 wigs so far. I love making them because I customize them to my head. I have upgraded from pack hair to bundle hair and the wigs look much better. I am going to try and make a wavy Bob tonight.
Do you have any recommendations on making a half wig with bundle hair @Napp

How to make it... Maybe YouTube videos... How you learned to make them.

I mainly learned from watching peakmill on youtube. her tutorials are really good. here are some of my favorites

I purchased cheap hair from the bss and aliexpress to practice. i like the "make your own wig" DIY caps to make mine. i dont like the dome caps that seem popular but that's just me. i made u parts at first and then graduated to closure wigs. frontals are my next task.

i like to space my tracks one thumb width apart and closer when i get to the top. I do not cut tracks except for the very top. I also like the flip over method and the elastic band method. ivy dear has good videos for this too. ivy usually does sew ins but the techniques can be used for wig making as well.

I like the cotton weave string as opposed to the nylon. the nylon is harder to work with for me but some people like it.

And the most important thing is to either buy a wig block that matches your head size or get a cheap foam head and wrap it with tape so it can fit your head. personally i thought making the head bigger with tape alone to be time consuming and a bit wasteful. so i used plastic bags and leftover bubble wrap to increase the heads volume faster with less tape. I personally prefer the wig block because the hole at the bottom fits into my mannequin stand. for some reason the foam hole was too big and the head would wobble while i sewed. its a minor nuisance so i dealt with it until i got my wig block.

If you have any more questions please ask!

ETA: My first two wigs werent even wearable and i was ready to give up but I stuck it out and now I make wigs with ease. Hope this helps!

My hair is doing so well thanks to my consistency and awesome stylist at Reniece & co. It's the longest it's been in my entire life. I love the wig life. I straightened it in early June for my residency grad and unfortunately I don't have really good pictures of its length. Hopefully these suffice. There's a video on my instagram @tgitella. I'm currently taking a short break only till I can get an appointment for some wig braids. Enjoy!

Ok so idk if I shared these before but these are new wigs (over the months) and my faux locs I just did recently. Also been doing some pretty good makeup as well...some pics are wigs and some of how I've been wearing my natural hair before and after surgery. Oh and have to show y'all my rainbow highlight (I love it. It's fun and different). The vintage looking up dos are what I was trying to decide on for my sis n laws wedding. I ended up going with the picture right before that one.

I shampooed and conditioned my canerows and also my wig to refresh it for the week and left it on my mannequin head to dry overnight
I can never get my mannequin heads to stay upright when I wash and dry my wigs. Idk if the wigs are just too heavy or what. What kind of wig head do you have?

I took a new wig out my stash and I think this is going to be my go to straight wig for the fall and winter. Sensationnel Goldie is the bomb.com. it works with my face so well. I looked in the mirror at work and thought: damn I look hot! LOL

I am now purchasing backups. It's way better than heaven and I loved that wig

This is the kind of wig head I use and to be honest it is heavy but I sit the wig head on my dresser to dry otherwise it won't stay upright
