Really trying not to buy any new hair products but I'm trying to slow down my shedding at the tea rinses aren't helping. I want to try the alter ego garlic mask. Gonna try to reduce my stash a lil more before i make the purchase
 
This week the blizzard threw me for a loop, ended up ordering a curl box, I'll update my list once the products arrive. On the bright side, I did get rid of 3 products.

I am down to 36 products. I was able to use up 4 products yesterday and I may be able to get through about 2 more products before the month is over.

I have never tried Tresemme Naturals, so I was contemplating buying it before they discontinue the line. But, I will only buy it if I find it on the ground, so far I haven't seen any.
 
My hair has been very moisturized lately, so I only need to use a small amount of product. Unfortunately, I didn't finish up the 2 products I was hoping to finish yesterday, but I will definitely finish them off this week.

BTW: I really need Shea Moisture to stop this madness with bringing out new lines every week. This is ridiculous!
 
I need to use up all of my Shea Moisture stuff so I can move on to different brands. Curl box is not really helping since Shea Moisture is a really popular supplier...sigh
 
ultra has the same sale too. I will be pray for you... cuz I need it too.:angel::busted:

Went to walgreens and exchanged my yellow shea moisture shampoo and conditioners for the green line. So i still have the same amount of products, just got a different line. went to the beauty supply store to try to get the garlic hair mask but they didn't carry it. might order it on amazon
 
Used up:

  • Ion Intensive Therapy Protein Rebuilder Reconstructor
  • V05 Miracle Mist
  • Grapeseed oil
  • White Rain Tropical Coconut
  • Oyin Whipped Pudding (promptly reupped)
Bought:
  • Oyin Whipped Pudding (reup from above)
  • Aussie Mega hair spray (had to replace from a few months back, what I had just wasn't cutting it)
  • Aubrey White Camelia con x2 (Joico MRB just wasn't working for DD, it left her hair weighed down when I flat ironed it. I had to go back to what has worked best for her)
  • Cantu Argan Oil leave in (DD is almost out of the Shea Butter version of this)
While this may look like I just broke even, :look: for the reasons posted above I'm not looking at it this way.

I used up Ouidad Moisture Lock, which is the last thing I will finish off this week. Next week, I have 2 or 3 things I should be finishing up.

Also, I changed my criteria for purchasing products. Originally, I said I couldn't purchase anything that would increase my list above 42 items. I changed it to say I can't purchase anything that would increase my list above 35 items.

My strategy has been to use up the products with the smallest amount in it first and that has helped me finish off 14 products in about 5 weeks and it helped me exercise restraint from purchasing products.

This week I finished up one Annabelle Leave in and one Annabelle's moisturing hair creme. Right now in in a protective style but I feel like my hairs going to need a really good protein treatment once I take down the braids so I'm planning on buying one this week.

I have a lot of products too, but I am only targeting about 1/4 of them for this challenge.

You can take a picture, but we also need a list of the products you are targeting for the week, month or quarter.

Ooh so I can choose the ones I want to finish ,excellent that should be easier . Thinking about it posting pics of products is not a good idea ,might give PJ s ideas :lol:
 
Ok, so during this Valentine season, I was seduced by Bobeam to purchase one (1) Buttercream Conditioner.

This purchase does not violate my criteria for purchasing. Plus, I will finish about 3 products this weekend.
 
I took down my braids this week and finished up some products in the process. Here's my updated list, I didn't end up getting a protein treatment, think my hair just needed a small trim.

As I thought, I used up 3 products today: Dove Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner, Loreal Hydracharge Leave In & Honey's Handmade Citrus Sage DC.

Next week, I think I can knock off 2 or 3 more products. I am really feeling good about my progress so far.
 
I'm giving my camille rose ajani growth balm to my dh. I don't like the grainy texture. I prefer the growth serum that is also in my stash.
