Steaming with Silk Dreams Vanilla SilkCream Moisture Dream (just a little) and Naturelle Grow's Mango and Coconut Water DC. Will steam for 30 mins, sit with conditioner with no steam for 30 mins, sit under heat for 15 mins. Trying something new. We shall see if I notice a difference.

Hi Ladies,

Been lurking on this thread for a few weeks and decided to take the plunge and ordered a steamer from Amazon. I am going to try it out for the first time on Saturday. Anxious to see if it make a difference in the moisture levels for my hair. I will use either Vatika Black Seed hair masque or Macadamia Natural Oil deep conditioner.

Hi is everyone using a plastic cap under their steamer or are you just letting your hair soak up the steam without one? I would imagine that without the cap, the steam would be all over your neck and shoulders and even down the back, am I right?

I steam without a cap and tie a pillowcase with a knee high sock around my ears to protect my skin.

I steamed the other day with SSI Riche Moisture Conditioner.
