***2012 HAIR GOALS Thread***

For 2012, I'm going to keep it simple.
-i will reach bsl with blunt ends
-i will stretch my relaxer for a year (until august)
-i will stick to my regimen & staple products
-i will be an active member of the challenges i join
-i will not neglect my hair when life gets busy
 
Putting my hair in a bun without feeling like I'm snatching my edges out or will get a headache. I :love: my hair but I had no clue it was this curly/coily.I would love to reach this goal by July 2012 (2 years natural).
 
I'm not even sure. I'm almost at my original goal, full BSL, but I've been wanting to cut my hair for months now. :look: So as far as length goes I'm either going to grow and maintain full BSL, try for MBL just to see if I can do it, or cut it. :drunk:


  • Length: I don't know what I'm doing anymore, lol. :lol: See above.
  • Thickness: I want to thicken up my hair, especially on the thinner side.
  • New Styles/Dos: It seems like the longer my hair gets the less interest I have in it. I want to try new styles and hairdos.
    • Still debating about bangs.
    • For sure I want to learn how to do braids aside from box/individuals and braidouts, but that's mostly for my daughter's hair.
    • Rollersetting: I tried early on in my HHJ a few times and gave up.
    • PS: More of this, and not just the "ehhh, whatever" 5 second buns I've been doing the last few months. :look: I can at least stick an accessory in there.
  • Ends: Healthy ends.
  • Products: Continue to use up my stash and stick to a handful of products.
  • Regimen: I want to better work it into my schedule without it interfering too much or just being put off. It was so much easier when I wasn't going to school full time.
 
My goal is to retain length by keeping my ends healthy and moisturized. By focusing on retention I hope to be APL stretched by December 2012. This will take a lot focus on protein/moisture balance and PSing for the next 12 months! :grin:

I said I was done with hair goals this year, but I think I will keep trucking towards MBL. I'm so close.
 
Faithfully sticking to an ayurvedic regimen
Length retention with super strong ends
Full and healthy edges
BSL by the end of 2012
 
Master my regimine (Healthy, Thick Hair)
Retention (Full SL by June and APL by December)
Rinse my Hair and maintain health
 
APL BY 12/2012 (or close to it)
Continue with healthy hair practices
Quarterly dustings
Drink more water
 
-BSL by DEC '12. BSL on me is 12in and I'm at 9in so I figure with trims I can do it in a year with healthy full ends.
-Do the seek and destroy trimming method as needed.
-Hide my hair completely (no leave out) under full lace wigs
-Consistently take my vitamins
- I don't want to use heat but maybe once or twice next year.
 
- 7inches of natural hair
- Cutting off all my texlax hair
-Learning to Heat train my hair
- Dusting every 2-3 months

I plan by God's grace to keep it super simple. I don't have any length goals. I just want my hair to be healthy.
 
I would like to be blunt cut tailbone length. I would also like to learn some new styles and perfect them, one of them being a roller set.
 
I want to trim my hair every three months and work on thickening up my ends :)

full APL, with blunt healthy ends. i know i can do this. i think. i need to stay away from random cuts and leave my hair the hell alone.
 
I plan on touching BSL or aiming very close to it which means (retaining 7.5-8 inches of hair) :look:

(4 more inches for APL)

*I vow to return back to my original length pre 1-7-2011 chop (between BSL and MBL)! It will be hard but I mane_attraxion has a plan.

*Mega-tekking all the way, mixed with aloe vera and essential oils (peppermint and rosemary)

*Sulfur oil nightly routine (possibly), I have a cervical adjustment lab every single day at 9am which is hands on and I do not need my partner smelling my sulfur soaked head as they adjust/practice on my neck region :nono:

*Maintain my 5-6 daily workout; which also means consuming my daily whey protein shakes

*Protective style like crazy!! (I would hide my hair under a wig but as I stated, im in lab every single day involving close proximity to head and neck region and I am scared my wig may pop off during an adjustment)

*Change my water filter to a fresh one

*Be consistent with my supplements: multi vitamin, MSM, diatomaceous and chlorella

*Eat a clean, high protein,moderate fat and low carb diet


Oh yeah and I want to thicken my hair (mostly the crown area) which I am also using the mega-tek for.

Healthy one length hair. I can't say a specific length, I just want it all one thick, full length.
 
APL by June/July and grazing BSL December 2012. If that is at all realistic.

Also I want my regimen down and want some holy grail staples.
 
BSL by May 2012 and somewhere around MBL hopefully WL by Dec. Also I want to master rollersetting next year and get back to hennaing.
 
I hope to be fully natural before the summer. As of now I'm waiting until I'm one year post relaxer. I'm already getting the itch to chop but I'm a slow grower and I only have about 3 inches of hair. Hopefully I'll grow another inch by March. I don't have any length goals for 2012, I got a feeling that the year will be filled with a lot of experimentation and getting to know my hair.
 
Thick, heathy, strong, full BSL hair well on its way to MBL!
Scratch that! Flat-ironed over the weekend and I'm grazing bra-strap; I'll be there in early 2011.

My new goal is thick, healthy, strong, full MBL hair! #dreambig :cool:
 
  • Stop playing in my hair.
  • Maintain hairstyles that last a week. Limit manipulation.
  • Keep my wash/condition and styling under 2hrs total.
  • Retain, retain, retain at least four inches!

I'm sticking with a protein based regimen. It has helped a lot.
