2 years to major hair growth

Everything is Energy
The things that worked for me may not work for everyone.

But specifically I stayed away from heat no more than twice a month.
I did twists, hair buns, basic protective styles.

Coconut oil, pomade, leave in conditioners.

My absolute major reason for growth was Super Biotin..
I took two a day. at 5000 mcg. no skin breakouts either.

Again this may work for you it may not..but the regimen is in my fotki.

Ladies, the extra Biotin really is great for hair growth and hair thickness.

Question, did you comb or brush your hair when you did your protective styles? Or only on wash days?

Great Growth!!!
I love your hair!
I remember when I first start frequenting LHCF, You were the FOM and I fell in love with your hair! Beautiful!
Keep up the good work!

EXCELLENT PROGRESS!!! if only biotin didnt break me out....Is there a comparable vitamin that doesnt cause breakouts???

I love Biotin because it's known to help thicken the hair shaft. I've been using it and it's working.

I wonder if anyone uses powdered biotin?

I'm tired of popping pills. I wonder if adding biotin powder to shampoos/conditioners/leave-ins/even MN mixture.

I added MSM powder to my MN mixture.

Great Progress, You are waist length right? I been thinking about taking my vits again I think I will start today. I have a ton to work with. Maybe thats why my hair hasn't been growing as fast as I would like. Iam approaching two years and still haven't made it to armpit and looks like it will take me another year to actually make it there.

that is some great progress right there. I was just contemplating yesterday whether or not to up my biotin 5mg intake to twice a day. I may try it and see how well that works. Taking it once a day has already drastically improved my hair thickness, but i want more. I want it to look like Dyslla's hair even though I relax bone straight:grin:

You're hair is so beautiful! I am so happy for you that the biotin is working, I am taking 5,000 mcg a day, this may make me bump it up to two a day!

That's beautiful. And here I was wondering if taking 8 mg of biotin per day was too much. I guess I know the answer now! I get 3 mg from my GNC hair, skin and nails formula and just started adding 5 mg of super biotin instead of the biotin I was using previously. I started with 3 mg, then 5, then 6 and am now up to 8. I had breakouts when I first started but had none when I moved to 6mg and none when I moved to 8 mg.

Anyway, I'm impressed and hope to also have great results.

Your hair looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you for your tips and yes, i will have to start taking biotin again, I was very successful with it, however, I have to be more consist. Well done!

Serious question. How did u get the coconut into a state where you could use it? I understand some people heat it up using hot water, but doesn't that affect the coconuts properties if you do it everytime you want to use your coconut oil.

Coconut oil melts at body tempature so just rub it in your hands it WILL melt.

Wow! That's amazing. It shows that patience and tlc with your hair will pay off. I hope mine is as beautiful in two years.

Just beautiful. And sooo thick. I may start back taking my vits.

Hey dlewis, your hair texture looks similiar to mine. Are you natural?

As far as using the powdered Biotin, I don't know. It might be better to mix the Biotin into something you eat or drink. I think you get it's full properties when you ingest it into your system rather than through a topical application.
