I had a corrective done about 1 year and 2 months ago to correct some frizzy sections (non-professional), but it ended up making the whole head (including the previous bone straight parts) underprocessed. How that is possible i dont know. I applied lye over no lye. I have used that same relaxer ever since Motions Salons Herbal which makes my hair matt together when its wet. I have tried all products but nothing has totally sorted out the problem. It is now just unbearable when wet. I am thinking of getting a professional corrective relaxer, I spoke to my stylist (I use to go to her before, she's the best that ever did it) and she said she would do a test first but wont proceed if there is any sign of damage.

Has anyone else done 2 corrective relaxers within the space of a year?

Has anyone ever had a relaxer underprocess previously bone straight hair?

Should she use lye or no lye?

I want bone straight hair.
Thanks

I had a professional do my first corrective, which caused damage to my hair, then i had to correct it again 6 months later, i thought my textures wear all even however it wasn't even though my hair seemed in better condition, however my hair continued to break and shed, i've been transitioning ever since. my hair has become lot healthier since doing moisturizing treatnments and braiding. Just be very careful when considering a corrective, you could cause more harm than good, you don't want to ruin that pretty long head of hair you have.

I have actualy had three. I have bone striaght health hair. I can comb my hair went it is wet and it looks thick and full. Did I mention I use a fine tooth comb and there is like no hair in it.

My hair still holds curls beautiful.

I had success with the 3 one. I went to a different stylist. She use Desgin Essential lye. I have always used lye. I had regular proccessed and underproccessed hair inconsistantly down the shaft of my hair fron different stylist relax it right and relaxing it wrong. DE evened out my texture completely

I am so happy with my bone straight hair, I don't know what to do. I would never need another corrective retouch again. I am almost at shoulder length but I am still looking forward to long hair, because my hair always grows beautiful and tremedously as long as I have a "good Perm."
