I remember when I first started lurking, I saw the 12 inches in 12 months challenge: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=241275
I was wondering if that worked out for anyone?
I'm also wondering if anyone would be interested in trying a 12 inches in 12 months challenge?
I know it's toughie, but I'd at least like to try. I think it would be cool to focus on retention, so everybody will get at least 6 inches.
ETA: Challenge Explanation
Okay, this is now the official thread for the 12 in 12 challenge.
Goal: To achieve the maximum monthly length our heads are capable of, be it 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, or 1 inch. The ultimate goal is to achieve 1 full inch of growth a month through good health and retention.
How we will achieve the goal: With this challenge, there will be many paths to achieving this goal, but here are the three basic steps:
Keeping Good Health
Maintaining Regimens
Retaining growth
Our goals are to improve the health of our bodies (and therefore, our scalps and hair), to stay on track with our regimens, and to retain each inch of hair we grow!
Disclaimer: Yes, 1 inch per month is hard to achieve. The purpose of this challenge is not to set the member up for failure. The purpose is to make a commitment to achieving ultimate growth, and most importantly to retaining every inch of growth.
Good Luck and Happy Hair Growing!!!

Optional: If you would like, in order to document how well you're doing, answer these questions:
What's your regimen?
Current growth rate?
Will you be using anything to aid your growth (supplements, growth aids, etc)?
I think I will leave it up to all of you to decide when you want to check in. But when you do check in, be as detailed as possible. Try to pinpoint what is working for you. This will be a great way to decide what to keep and what to toss out!
