Ive actually tried to go natural 2 times before this – lasted abt a year to 18 months each time, but struggled through the whole time until I relaxed again.

I have 4b hair and borrowing a line from a nursery rhyme “when she’s good she’s very very good but when she’s bad she’s horrid” I must say though that since of late she’s been pretty well behaved. She went though a “terrible twos” at around 4 – 6 months which rlly tested my resolve.

My only issue now is SSKs and knotty ends (I think they are related) but I’ve got it under control by adding an extra leave in on my ends and then sealing with castor oil

It took me abt 9 months to find the perfect products for my hair but now I can say thank goodness for ayurveda, S-curl and ceramides

My routine is pretty simple,

Styling
I get my hair twisted or corn rowed every 3 weeks, my hair fuzzes up really quickly so by the end of the week I will be doing twist outs, and I do this for the next 2 weeks until I get my hair done again.

HERES TO ANOTHER WONDERFUL YEAR OF HAIR

THANKS LADIES FOR ALL THE TIPS ETC AND ALSO FOR ENABLING MY PJism

Congrats! I love how plump and springy your twists look, the red highlights are so pretty on you :)

First, congratulations!

Second, I am not happy! I have been natural two years and you have more growth! I blame it on my dependence on foreign heat. I have learned better and I am protective styling. I hope to be APL by this time next year!

Third, congrats again! Great progress.

That is really great progress! Please keep it up. I am in love with your curls and thickness...I really envy your thickness. LOL :)

That's some really good growth for a year. Congrats!!

Wow!! You've had some great progress for just one year! Not even quite a year yet!! Your twist-out was simply :drool:

I can only hope that I'll be able to do twist-outs like that by the time I get to 11-12 months!

Congrats and keep up the fantastic work!
