I straighten my hair once or twice a year so I don't want to spend a lot on a flat iron.

Are there any good ones under $40?? I airdry 98% of the time and will straighten mainly for length checks.

TIA

My cousin loves a remington and i checked target.com for reviews and they have good reviews...check those out they go for 40-50

i too have The a Remington i bought from Target for $50 and its infused with avocado oil for conditioning. I took it with me on vacation last year and it was wonderful! I bought it because of its great reviews...check it out!

I use a jilbere that I bought sallys, gets the job done has temp dial.
check marshalls and tjmaxx too, they have them there for cheaper.

the difference with the higher end brands is the better quality plates but even some of those can be hair snatchers.

alot of naturals like the maxiglide too because of the steam feature.

Yep, I have a jilbere from Sally's... I paid under $50 for it and I love it... I don't use it very often but when I do I love the results.

I got the GVP from Sally's, which is like their version of the Chi and it works just as well if not better since you can adjust the temperature. I paid $49.99 minus 15% since I used a coupon. HTH!

Yep, that's what I have, and it's great. Someone said that it was made by the same company who makes the chi. It was on the box.

I brought this vidal sasson one for £20 on ebay, it is much better than my ghd that I brought for £100

Gold N Hot Professional Ceramic Flat Iron, it straightened my type 4 hair very well.

It's not really ceramic, but it has ceramic coating. Since you only flat iron twice a year it should last long time.
