Just want to thank the ladies for the advice on the ORS-lye!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

i was using MBB and liked the results but man!!!! my head would be on fire!!!! :burning: so i was looking for a relaxer that:
1. i can purchase at a local BSS
2. would straighten my hair rather quick
3. was affordable
4. DIDN'T BURN THE CRAP OUT OF MY HEAD.....GEEZE!!!!!

so i did extensive research on LHCF threads and ORS stood out....so i gave it a try.....

OMG!!!!!! it was awesome!!!! it did not burn!!!!!!!!! i kept looking at the jar to make sure it wasn't just the cream and i failed to purchase the next step which would be the liquid activator. LOL no lie!!!! i even had time to part my hair in 4 sections! my hair was so straight and shiny!!!

check out my pics....

For me I didn't think ORS got my hair that straight, plus it burnt my scalp a couple times.. DR Miracles is great, my hair is soo straight and silky and it now includes a replenishing pak.

I too found that ORS didn't straighten my hair enough :nono: I think it's a good relaxer system...just not for my hair.

I think ORS done a beautiful job on ur hair :yep:

Mizani butter blends sensitive scalp:lick::lick::lick:

My hair was supersoft and manageable for a month after my hairdresser used this. She made a note on my chart to use this every time (Praise Him) and then when I went for my last touch up, they were out of butter blends so I had to use regular mizani for sen. scalp:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Next relaxer appt. I'm calling ahead day before to make sure they have the BUTTAH...

Silk Elements lye. It leaves a lot of texture in your hair, but your hair is soft and it straightens easily. It is the best of both worlds for me and my search is over.

All my no lye hair is so thin and fragile in comparison with the lye hair. I will never use no lye ever again.

OMG! I had my SO buy me the Mizani Butterblends Sen Scalp today so i can do a touch up and I am in Loveeeeee! talk about no burning! and I have such a sensitive scalp , I burn so easily..i had no burning and my hair came our so strait! i havent had it this strait in a long time...This is the best relaxer I have used thus far..Sticking ith this one ...

My stylist uses Lady Velvet. However, I've heard a few bad things about it so I'm thinking of switching. I've only started relaxing since April 2009 and that is the only relaxer that I've used so I don't know otherwise.
Any suggestions for an alternative. My hair is quite soft in texture and is thick. I'm not 100% sure of my hair type. I think it's a 4 something.
Are there any other users of Lady Velvet?

I love Mizani. It relaxes your hair to desired straightness, and it seems to keep it fully moisturized as well. My stylist has been using Affirm as of late. Its ok, but I seem to notice new growth faster(to me that means my hair is not as straight as w/the Mizani) and it seems to make the hair a little less moisturized.

I think Dlewis use this relaxer.

When I was relaxing, I used Optimum Multimineral Reduced Ph Lye Relaxer in Mild. I used the whole system (steps 1-4). It was so good on my hair, and my hair felt and looked very healthy after each TU. I also had great results with Elasta QP Lye in Mild, and Silk Elements Lye in Mild (used the accompanying cholesterol condish & neutral. shampoo as well).

I slipped up and let a stylist put a no-lye Mizani relaxer in my hair once, and boy was it dry! I learned my lesson about no-lye.
