This is the bestest thread in the whole wide world. :drunk:

Special thanks to all those who posted Modu Anytime wigs...you'll know them by their recurring model with the naturally type-1-ish jet black hair inexpertly "blended" with golden-blonde and reddish type 3 ringlet-wigs. Charming. The wigs are good, though, don't judge them by that poor little girl.

No match for the Beverley Johnson wig models. Hell she don't even bother to put then on in the right direction! Kinda reminds me of pin the tail on the donkey - only the donkey is the confused looking model and the tail is a wig come industrial mop! :lachen:

I have maintained, and continue to maintain, that Beverly Johnson's archnemesis, whomever he/she may be, has hijacked her name and sought to ruin her reputation via this wig company promotional scheme.

Surely a model of her stature and history, who has appeared on the cover of Vogue, etc., would not volunteer her OWN famous visage for the crassest, Hotmessiest, most amateur-Photoshoppy wig / hairpiece promotional pics of all time.

I'm talking 'bout:

As for the Brandy Comb, here is a selection of the choicest quotes from the comments on Hairsisters:

"Now who the HELL is wearing this?"

"I highly recommend this to those high end crack heads"

"what in the bloody hell is this???"

"This wig should be called "Crack Feen Comb" not Brandy"

"Then it has the nerve to be $24.99!!"

"Rock ON hair sisters ...ROCK ON."

And my favorite because it is so exquisitely true:

"PS this wig probably would arrive on time if ordered LOL"

That smile is telling me she feels stupid on the inside.
She is two seconds away from crying!lol!

Those comments had me :lachen:Why does it look like cats have been licking on it??? Hairsisters needs their azzez beat for all of this uckery.

:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

I was laughing so hard at these pics last night. talk about tomfoolery smhwlol

Tomfoolery and shenanigans, girl ... tomfoolery AND shenanigans!!!

It's like someone I know used to say, "worser and worser"

I actually know someone who said "more worser" if you can believe it. :ohwell:

Still

But in all seriousness..maybe it's because one model has to take pics with many wigs in one day... so they just dont take the time to blend her hair with the wig

a mess :look:...that's why I can never buy hair off of these websites by going by the model's pics...I have to wait and see the hair being modeled by an actual customer first....

I end up having an easier time going by the model's pics, because if even the stylists can't make it work, then it's a crappy wig.

My guilty pleasure is seeing pictures of horrific wigs, so I'm loving this thread.

Modu Anytime has horrible model pictures. Are the wigs good? Because they look a hot mess in the pics. Whoever styles those shoots needs to do some soul-searching and really think about the direction their lives have gone.

i dont believe i've spent hours on this thread, reading reviews comments and such. This was HILARIOUS!

I agree. It looks horrible and truth be told it discourages me from buying wigs/weaves because I assume that it won't blend well, just off the strength of the pictures and nothing else. These manufacturers have to do better than this.

I agree. I'm guessing that maybe they don't blend it so that the half wig can stand out more but, what's up with the none matching hair color. That is ridiculous.

And why is it that the models look like it hurts for them to smile... As if they know that they look like a fool for wearing that whack weave. Lol!!!

IDK why, but the bolded brought tears to my eyes !
Because you can see it:lachen::yep:
See how she looks like it hurts to smile? She's trying to camoflauge breaking down as the camera snaps.I'm an expert on this:yep:

Honestly,i'm more mad at the ones acting like they've made it:sad::nono:

I was pleased with the quality and shape of the curls of the two curly halfwigs I ordered, never tried on when I saw the color was not for me, and returned (and am still waiting for my exchange since October, HAIRSISTERS :wallbash: ). One of them was pictured in this thread (the Modu Anytime 162).

But keep in mind that that is only compared to small 3c-ish spiral curl synthetic halfwigs in general../most of which are just terrible with their plasticy too-uniform fake looking curls. So the bar is set low, but the Modu halfwigs I handled exceeded it.

See, this is why manufacturers need to take 2 types of pic for each wig - One on a model expertly blended, and another on a mannequin head. If it weren't for LHCF members or certain You Tubers I wouldn't make many wig purchases because most of the photos are a mess!

Sad to say, but I see women like that ALL the time. I guess I can't blame them anymore if the models wear the hair wrong. Mmph....SMH

LMAO at those pics. But you really do see females like that everyday...trust I used to be one of them about 5 years ago smh

OMG this thread has me dying over here :lachen: One of my fun hobbies is to troll Hairsisters for jacked up looking wigs and post comments on them. I tried to find one of my faves... the rainbow afro wig... like a literal actual :clown: would wear to the circus... it looks like they took it down off the site! :cry3: I can't imagine they were selling too many of those... :nono: Let's hope anyway...
