Critical Length ??? (Possible Challenge) + End of Year Progress Pics

Well, that time has come again and I can officially say, I have reached my "critical length". Everyone has one.....it's that length that no matter what you do you can't seem to overcome it- your hair's most vulnerable breaking point. I am about 1-1.5 inches away from bsl, like I have been for the past 2.5 years . Unlike most people my growth spurts occur between Nov-April, but due to the weather, I always have to end up taking 2-3 inches off come spring . I can so make bsl by the end of January/ early February. But I can NOT for the life of me protect my ends enough so that I don't have to cut. I was wondering if anyone was in the same boat and wanted to possibly do a challenge ?

I know . But seriously, I had SSKs up the wazoo. So I pretty much ended up dusting so that my hair wouldn't be so tangly. I've been getting more breakage lately than I'm used to

Thank you .Now don't get me wrong, I don't feel as if this is my terminal length, it's just that this is the point I always get to before I have a setback of some sort. I believe if I can overcome this length, it'll be smooth sailing from here on it. The problem is figuring out how to do that
