I have the XP. I like the fact that it's bigger, therefore I can properly cover each section of hair. I have a lot of hair and need it. I don't have MP so I can't compare.

where can I get distilled water from?!
Which one is best to have.
I bought an XP which works fine, but I am returning it for a better deal.
What is the difference between the two. I know that:
XP= Course hair and plates are larger
MP= Thin hair and plates are smaller
Other than that is there any other difference in features? What features makes one for course hair and the other for thin hair?
Which one of the two is the newer model?

I have the MP now, but I prefer the XP. I thought the smaller one would be easier to handle with my hands, but the XP made more sense for my hair.
I'm going to return the XP and just order the MP even if I have to get it from a different spot. I didn't see the MP being sold on Folica.com so it doesn't appear that I can just do an exchange.
NONE of the Bed Bath and Beyonds near me had the 2 inch Maxiglide (old or new).
I can't believe the way this XP pulls and breaks my hair when I try to make a curl! I'm so disappointed. I loved my old Maxiglide and had no issues with it. I got my 4a/b hair straight on setting 5 with the old Maxiglide.
I think the XP being bigger will trick ppl into thinking they can do larger sections of hair at a time, which may lead to less straight results. Regardless of hair type smaller hair sections are going to lead to a better press. I dont think because you have coarse or thick hair you need a bigger iron, probably the exact opposite is what you need...a smaller iron and therefore you press smaller sections at a time and get straighter more silky results . Is my reasoning off?
