Yea you seem to be in the 4 family. If you could post a picture of your hair wet/not being pulled and sized to fit the post I could give a more certain estimation.

thanks..and i'm not exactly sure of what your asking..do u mean how did i get it to show so well? I guess it was the flash that made it show so nicely...

okay I'll try to resize it..lol...I'm conditioning my hair now so I'll take a wet pic for ya.
 
Ladies how much new growth do you need to determine hair type? Is there not a way to tell on relaxed hair? Are there other techniques to tell the hair type?

I just hope that I dont BC and then my hair looks totally different!!

Don't worry about it, when you are transitioning you have to mentally prepare yourself when you go natural. No matter what your hair looks like when you bc, it will be beautiful because its what god gave you and if you don't except that you will never make it as a natural. Good luck on your journey and take it one day at a time.
