Moisture/Protein Balance: How to keep your hair from falling out
Relaxer Prep 101: How to treat your hair the week leading up to a relaxer
This is so important.I would teach a class in keeping hair properly moisturized.
Aggie, I know you would have a class full. Your class would be one I enrolled in right away. It's so important to protect the scalp and we can't leave this totally in the hands of the person doing the relaxer. I KNOW there are some people who would want to know this now. What should be taught here?
-Preparation techniques for the hair AND scalp before a relaxer treatment. This include what should be done to prevent scalp burns and protect previously relaxed hair from overlapping/over-processing.
-One should know the differences in the effects of lye and no-lye relaxer on the hair and scalp.
-Know whether you want your hair bone-straight or texlaxed and what to do to accomplish each of them.
-One should know how long to keep relaxer in their hair according to their hair texture.
What would you be interesting in learning?
-I would be interested in learning how to consistently get the same texlaxed results every single time.
If you taught a class, what would it be?
-I would teach someone how to prepare their hair for the relaxer process and the care of the hair post-relaxer.
Kitten I am sooo afraid to try this. Maybe if I was better educated in this subject, I would.Self-relaxing 101 basic techniques to self relaxing, other techniques such as the half/half method
- What should be taught here? Retention methods.
- What would you be interesting in learning? Beautiful, easy, yet elegant protective styles.
- If you taught a class, what would it be? Retention. I didn't know I was the number 1 reason why my hair wasn't retaining length.
