I took a picture of my curly ponytail today b/c I've been documenting my accessories. Interestingly, the pose was similar to a pose I'd done last year at about this time.

I'm stoked!
I usually don't do length comparisons with curly hair because of shrinkage. I was a bit surprised at the growth that is evident in the two pics.

Thanks for checking me out.

Thanks ladies. I am glad I've started taking pictures. I never felt like my hair is growing but tracking is the proof.

OH EM GEE your hair is gorgeous!!!!!!!!! :D You know I love your hair and your hair accessories!!

What's your curly regimen/ fave curl forming products? Did you BC or transition? Staple products? Overall Regimen? Do you use "curly" poos and cons?

I swear I stalk you and Pokahontas' threads & pics! GORGEOUS as usual! Thanks for posting...I'm inspired! And I needed the inspiration right now! :(

Are you kidding me?!! *faints*
WOW!!!! Absolutely beautiful! I love the flower in your hair.

What do you put on your natural hair to make it so moisturized?

Hey guys! Thanks for the compliments.

Disclaimer: As far as the bling, I do have to say that part of what you are seeing is the flash from the camera. I think my hair does reflect the light and in pictures, it appears extra shiny. It's always had that effect no matter what I use. I just don't want to make it seem like everyone will have the same effect if you use the same product.

That said - I do use this for leave-in and it does smooth my hair and make it shine - it is old school and I've been using it for over 15 years

Then, I use some kind of butter/creme. I change products. I used to use MyHoneychild's Caribbean Hair Creme and still like it

but I you guys sold me on Qhemet Biologic and I'm on the bandwagon now. My current favorite is Burdock Root and Alma and Olive Heavy Cream.

When I do twist/twistouts, I either use KCCC (if I want hold), njoicreations Herbal Styling Pudding (soft and bouncy), or EcoStyler (in between KCCC and Herbal Styling Pudding).

I wash with CON or cowash 2 times a week and DC when I can. Almost always have hair up and/or curly.

That's it guys. Sorry I don't have any big secrets!

That is so sweet! Thanks!
P.S. I've been looking for your leather flower in CVS - no luck yet. I will keep checking b/c you never know when they have them.

WOW! what is that Like a 3 inch Diffrence!! There is hope for use that are deprived length from shrinkage!

Did you BC or transition?

I forgot to answer the bolded.
I went natural 2x once in the 80s in high school , went to college and relaxed (now I know that I texalaxed because I still wore my hair exactly the same way only it had less bulk). Second time was when I went to grad school and had no money and stopped relaxing. I didn't do a bc (didn't know what that was) but I stopped relaxing, went for my regular trims until I was natural. Not sure exactly how long that took because I never really had straight ends but after 2-3 years of not relaxing and cutting off ends, I considered myself natural. I've had really short hair and long hair throughout the last 15 years of being natural. Only in the last year have I focused on healthy length.
