i love the maxi glide. the steam feature, the fact that it combs the hair straight....it just works best for me.

Hana Elite...it's worth every penny! I have owned most of the big names (Chi, FHI, Sedu, Hai) None compare.

Girl who is you telling, I have the Sally's Version of CHI GVP flat iron, I like it, but I want a bigger one.....Andis snags my hair way too much, and I heard good things about Sedu, so I voted for Sedu, and i'm on a mission to get one......

I've only had a Rusk and a FHI Platform.

I voted FHI. The Rusk used to snag my hair a lot. After about 2 years, the hinge broke, so it gave me the excuse to try something different.

You already know I'm with you on this one Toya! Hana all day! My hair has neverr felt so soft, moisturized, and healthy with a flat iron. And the hair will revert back to it's natural state (if you're natural). The iron has a 2 yr warranty, comes with little extra "gifts" , has black ceramic plates that leave the hair delicious :lick:! I personally would never get rid of my hana even if I did get the Fhi Runway, my hana will ALWAYS be here.

I had my hair flat ironed two weeks ago with a FHI runway and I was very impressed. It made my 14 week post relaxer hair silky straight.

I love my Sensu HerStyler that I got from Amazon.com. It was under $80 and it has a temperature control.

FHI Runway, my hair dresser uses that. It gets my almost 11 month post hair super straight with one pass.

I have the FHI Platform and that one was great too.

I really just feel any 100% ceramic iron is bombb. if an iron can get coarse 95% natural 4a hair pin straight without damage, you know its good. gooo hana! lol

I loooooooooooooove my Infrashine ceramic! Whatever you do, get a ceramic or tourmaline/ porcelain! Those metal gold-n-hot plates are NO GOOD!

lol i feel u folica.com is having a sale on sedu's and im soooo tempted

I love the Sedu!

I haven't tried the Hana, but since this one does what I need it to do, I see no need to yet. I like that for my hair it only takes one pass with the Sedu. I tried the Chi and kept having to go over a section to get it the way I liked, and it didn't feel soft. The FHI didn't get me as straight, soft or SHINY as the Sedu. That's what got me hooked on this thing. It's the shine! I have never used another iron that made my hair so shiny.

I usually rollerset, so when I get to flat-iron, it is a pleasure to see my hair so silky after the Sedu. I also love the fact that it is so lightweight. My arm never hurts when I'm done like it did with other bulkier models. I'm texlaxed, fine 4a ( some 3c), so I rarely wear it bone straight, but when I choose to, it's Sedu all the way.

Wow! Must be really good. I own the Sedu and I've owned the others you listed except for the Hai. I was considering getting the Hana Elite. You make me want to look into it even more.

ETA: I forgot to mention that I owned the Solia as well for about a week once, returned it because it wasn't for my hair at all.

my hair didn't like the solia either! the hana elite is the bombbbbbbbb

I got a Sedu and I really like the results. It makes the hair feel good (a little too good) after use. I know that I can't use it consistently because, no matter the technology, it's still a hot styling tool.

I'm so confused on the flat-iron tip. I hear that ceramic, tourmaline, and all of these other fancy things are ideal, when just today on youtube I had the privilege of looking at some long, beautiful, pressed natural hair. And what did she press it with?...A Hot Tools metal plate flat-iron . I even looked up reviews for it, and it received good scores! Some even said it was better than certain higher end flat-irons. Oh well, I guess some heads can use those kinds of flat-irons and still have healthy hair, whereas others might experience problems.
