These threads kill me. How can I decide between a Sedu or FHI when there are people who swear by both?
BTW, let me stop knocking my Solia before it bums out on me. It's a good flat iron.
Could everyone include what temp. and products they use with their flatiron? I think that makes a big difference.
FHI Platform. Same results are the Runway for less. (I've used both)
YES! I been waiting for a response like this, lol! Are they really that similar in results? Are you relaxed or natural?
Babybliss..The best flatiron ever is the Andis..silky smooth.
I used it for my sig picture last year before i stepped my flatiron game up..still nothing so far has really compared
i love the Tool Science Ceramic Tourmaline, i'm natural and I get great results. Most dont believe I'm not relaxed until they see my hair when its not straight. I got it from Sallys (check the reviews on it online) and for those who don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. I had the Chi turbo nano whatever and as my hair grew, i didnt think it did that great of a job and I love the tool science.
I also think technique and heat setting makes a huge difference. When I flat iron, I dont really like pin straight, I like some sort of texture, like this:

I also think blow drying technique is important.
I'd like to try the FHI Runway out of curiosity, but I cant bring myself to spend that much money on myself and on hair (because I could send the money back to family in Nigeria).
But then again, I doubt anyone who spent upwards of $400 on a flat iron would diss it even if it didn't do any better than the iron that cost $100 or less.
ETA: I use a technique very much like Patchouli's
Well, it's not the FHI 207RVI. That iron doesn't do anything for my hair.
Oh, just found out it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. That's about right.
NICHI: How do you blow dry your hair? Is there a certain technique you use/blow dryer you have? Also do you use a comb attachment or concentrator nozzle, etc.
I really think it is more technique than anything, but I hear it is the FHI.
Isn't that the FHI Platform? It looks like it's still available to order through FHI's website.
I watched this and now I want FHI everything. LOLLet's also not forget that SalonCabelo uses the FHI Platform and of course, as a stylist herself, gets gorgeous, salon-looking results: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G0xJo1hv1c&feature=related
