I am trying to figure out how to buy the stove that heats it up. Would any stove do? I've never used a Marcel iron at home.

My sister got her stove from a regular BSS. It cost too much since I dont straighten that much. If I did I'd get one in a heat beat. I'd get tons of use out of it.

I don't think its ever good to use metal irons on your hair, it heats unevenly and has hot-spots, ceramic is always the way to go:yep:

There was a member here who got a digital stove, but it was really expensive (IMO). She even got heat testers. I looked this up months ago, after a lot of google searches, and I didn't even save any of it. Sorry. :perplexed

You're right, they're so so bad, but they make my hair look so so good!

I've only used them twice and I haven't seen a flat iron that compares. The damage isn't worth it though.:nono:

well I've decided to go with the FHI Runway instead, so thanks for the advice! I agree. metal = terrible
