I have the Rosemary Mint shampoo and that was really good, but then again I never use it straight, I always water it down. But it still has a nice cool feeling on my scalp.
For conditioning, Ive only used the Black vanilla leave in and it did NOTHING for my hair. I had to add all kinds of things to it to get it to even be usable! Glycerin, condish, oils. I might as well of made my own leave-in from scratch which I do anyway. After I just didnt have the money to shell out for products that dont do ANYTHING for my hair. Maybe when I get some expendable cash Ill give it another shot, but I pretty much get the same responses from ppl, that after they went corporate (or whatever business change they did) products havent been the same............

Even when I was natural, I didn't like the products. Either too heavy or too light. And definitely too expensive for me.

My mother seems to like CD after Jane Carters. I tried the hair milk and I agree it smells good but it didn't do much for me outside of that. Luckily I was using my VCO to seal so my hair didn't get too dry. I'll stick to the less commercial handmade/natural products any day.

I like healthy hair butter. It really soothes my dry scalp and I can use it even if I flat iron my hair.

I haven't been using it so much though lately. I use Hairveda almond glaze now for my braidouts. I want to try the Hairveda green tea butter.

Hi OP,

I have never tried CD's product, back than there use to be so many raves until I think either the products were discontinued or the formulas were changed. Now, it seems like the reviews are pretty much mixed reviews.

I don't plan on buying in the future because most recent reviews that ive red from people with the similar texture were mostly thumbs down.

I know Jada was promoting the product or affiliated with them and I feel its just like reading an article on Beyonce's hair health and they tell you moisturize blablabla but dang you know you staring at a lacefront. ( I tend to discard celebrity's reviews...call me a skeptic..lol )

;)

i went out and bought about $150.00 worth of product with my 4b hair, thinking for some weird reason, that it would soften it up. especially after eyeing jada's pic on the website - about 2 years ago.

I wound up mailing out all of the products to members on the BHM forum. The post office must have known how bad the products were, because 1 box came back stamped "return to sender".

not a big fan. tried the hair balm which i like, kiwi? in metal can for smoothing edges- no good. h hair butter- just ok. do not like the ingredients. jmo

Okay, I rubbed a small amount of this on my arms to see how it looked and to smell it better.

I'm sorry, but this stuff smells awful and is just plain GREASY. Not just oily, but GREEEZZZY! :nono:

I couldn't wait to get to the ladies room to get soap my arms down to remove this stuff.

I'm not diggin' her body or too many of the hair products. I hear the same on other boards and I'm hoping she continues to stay in business down the road, but she does have some stiff competition out there now.
Wow, really? Mine is not greasy at all...I just used it today, and I was thinking to myself how it sinks in so quickly and makes my skin so velvety, without leaving too much oil behind.

But I also have the driest skin known to man, so it takes a lot for me to turn down a product for being too greasy. :lachen:

Wow, I think I may be one of the only ones that loves the CD products that I have purchased so far. I only use a nickel size amount of the hair milk and seal it with tui oil, but my hair is moisturized all day and smells great! Plus it has a shine that I couldn't get from oil sheens, but isn't weighed down... (all of this is still on the relaxed part of my hair too)

I loved the hair milk and mimosa when i was relaxed. gave me smoothness and shine after flat ironing. But right now,my natural hair hates it. it does not moisturize. just too greasy. i just threw all away when i became natural. total garbage.

My hair hated them. The hair balm, hair butter, hair milk, leave in, and shampoo. I wish I could have gotten my money back

When I was relaxed i LOVED the hair milk and the elixer....however now that I'm natural my hair soaks it up like a sponge but the properties aren't there anymore.

I HATE the mimosa (very very greasy),the conditioner (before they changed the texture) just sat on my hair and did not condition, the leave in's made me hair hard and this was all wierd because my ahir is naturally pretty soft. so i would give her enitre line a thumbs DOWN!

The products are horrible. I tried them as a nappyhead and again while relaxed. In both cases, the products were terrible.:nono:

I knew about CD way before Mary and Jada... when ladies on the boards like this one were buying her products. My opinion today is greasy and overpriced for my head.

I have heard too many negatives and positives. It seems like a hit or miss with most so I determined this product line was not worth me trying.

Some love it some hate it.

I am wondering what her children's product line with the new Disney Princess move will be like. I hope for CD's sake it is good because if it isn't she is going to have a lot of mothers with children of color highly upset and you know that the results will be blasted all throughout the internet.

I truly hope those products turn out to be really good and not just a marketing ploy.

I tried them, then sold gave them away. They didn't work for me, the watery leave-in was basically scented water, I can buy rose water at the market cheap, the hair honey=grease, healthy hair butter & the other hair creams =creamy grease, hair balm=grease, hair milk= creamy liquid grease and felt like Luster's Pink oil and I hate that stuff with a passion.
None of those products worked for me, they left my hair coated, weighted down, heavy, and extremely greasy-I hate that feeling on my hair too plus the products are too expensive to just be different forms of "natural" grease. BTW I have thick curly natural hair, I don't see how those grease ladden products work for Jada when I think she's a 3a/b
For the kids products I smell marketing decoy, I think it's her same old products repackaged and watered down for the kids. JMO

CD was the first line of natural products I tried when I went natural. I've tried the Loc Butter, Hair Milk, Black Vanilla Leave-In spray, Mimosa Hair Honey, and Healthy Hair Butter. The only one that I really liked was the Mimosa Hair Honey because of how smooth it makes my hair. However, you have to be careful because it is very oily.

Personally I stopped using CD because of the ingredients-they are all basically the same, no matter what product you are using. Also, I figured if I was going to spend $16 on a hair product I might as well get something that isn't based in such cheap oils. I don't think CD is bad, I just think there are far superior products (Qhemet, Oyin) out there.

ETA: I forgot to add that I have used the Tui Hair Smoothie. I liked the thickness of it, but it didn't moisturize my hair. Even if it did, I don't think getting four uses out of a jar that costs about $20 is cost effective.

I believe any product that is specifically marketed towards kids follows this idea.

I tried Khoret Amen leave in conditioner and it left my hair kind of hard. I refuse to spend any more money on the line. But I do love the body moisturizers.
