Bout to Purchase Caruso Curlers

I notice that you get some rollers of each size with it, that the rollers are hard to replace, that you have to buy a whole new set of rollers after 4 hairdos or something... I'm reading reviews on amazon and getting concerned...
What do I need to know about this thing?

Its worth the purchase. My DD has one. I think that you should just keep the rollers and clips in a safe place and you won't lose them.

You can buy the rollers seperately if u need to. I have seen them in sallys and on Folica.com seperately.

I have read that after 6 months it doesn't work anymore (not sure why) and people have had to replace often. The entire thing.

I've had my original set for close to three years and everything still works; my rollers are good as new, and the steam component functions perfectly.

Me too! I've had mine for 3 years now, and everything works fine. You can pull the sponges out occasionally and soak them lightly in sudsy water, rinse, and air dry.

REPLACEMENT BOOTLEG: I bought some $2.00 regular satin rollers, yanked out the clip, put them on the steamer, attached to my hair with duck bill clips, and now I have 6 new rollers. Heck, I liked it so much coz the satin's already on there I bought 6 more and ditched the foam ones that came with the set. Now I don't have to worry about end papers and being ambidextrous. It's a recession, I save any way that I can.

The caruso sets are at places like TJ Max and Marshalls for 14 bucks, thats cheaper than ordering the replacement rollers online.
