Does anyone still use Elucense?

I don't hear anyone talking about it anymore. Back when I first started LHCF, it was all the rave. My hair is feeling extra dry so I went to naturallycurly.com and bought a some of the conditioner and treatment.

Anyone had any problems using it?

I use the shampoo and conditioner and love it, especially the shampoo! I alternate conditioners a lot so as a deep conditioner it does ok for me...but works well as a rinse out.

I use the shampoo, conditoner and clarifyer, i love this line and i have had no problems with these products.

I was thinking about buying the shampoo too. I use regular ol' dollar V05 shampoo and I think it might be part of why my hair is drying out.

Kenra used to be my staple for my moisture needs, but I wanted something new. I can't wait for it to come, it was shipped today.

Only thing is it is not readily available in stores near me so I will always have to order online if I like it and want to replenish.

I still use Elucence products because they are cone and glycerine-free and natural.

I use the Moisture Benefits Shampoo - suds a lot for a SLSulfate-free shampoo and leaves my hair a very clean, could be slightly drying but as soon as the Moisture balancing Conditioner touches my hair after washing out the poo, it's like butter.

I also use the Clarifying Shampoo - this is very gentle and does not strip my hair at all and it removes product build-up but it is not a chelator. You would need the Acidifying Shampoo for that purpose.

The Moisture Balancing Conditioner is just uh, what's the word :lick:. This leaves my hair very moisturized, shiny and full of bounce. It does not weigh my fine hair down either.

I use the Extended Moisture Repair Treatment - this is the perfect moisture/protein conditioner to restore moisture and strengthen the hair all at the same time. It looks a little translucent with a slight tan tint but it is still amazing. My hair is very combable after using it and strong.

I would definitely purchase all of them again. As a matter of fact, I just reordered the Moisture balancing Conditioner. I go through that one a lot quicker because it doubles as a leave-in conditioner and it smells absolutely divine.

HTH!

I was using their lye relaxer last year, but moved to another state and found a new stylist and she doesn't use it. Too bad I can't buy it in stores because that was honestly the best relaxer I EVER used. Didn't get my hair too straight, but also didn't leave it underprocessed, either. My hair was soft and silky with that relaxer. I'm depressed now.

The ONLY thing I don't like about Elucence is that it's not sold in stores.

Oh yes! That's one of my staples too. In fact I'm about to order more of the shampoo and conditioner. It's just that I used to use it when I was relaxed, ran out by the time I went natural and went to the store to buy the next best thing (since I like to switch up anyway) and bought some Giovani products. Now that I'm out of those, I'm buying Elucence again.

I purchased it a couple of months ago and its been love at first use for me. Its the best. I bought the big liter of Moisture benefits shampoo and conditioner from curlmart.

Absolutely! :yep: I discovered Elucence when it was all the rage two years ago, and I haven't turned back. I'm strongly considering getting the gallon conditioner because I use it for my conditioner washes. The shampoo is so good that I even got one of my friends liking it, too. And their clarifying shampoo is one of the best ones I've ever used. Elucence is truly one of my beloved staple lines. :yep:

Okay, I'll bite. Where do you find the gallon sizes of Elucence?

Aggie, when you use the Extended Moisture Repair Treatment do you use another conditoner afterwards. Also do you use the Moisture Balancing Conditioner as a deep conditoner or just a wash out conditioner?

i use alot of products from this line

Hey Shunta!

What strength were you using? TIA

I LOVE their shampoos and use them exclusively...

I have the Moisture Balancing, Moisture Acidifying and Volume Clarifying. I always come back to these shampoos year after year and buy the litre sizes.

Honestly, it's not necessary to use any conditioner after the Extended Moisture Repair, but I do anyway out of habit. I use the Moisture Balancing Conditioner or sometimes I'd mix it in for an extra moisture boost, especially when I don't have much time on my hands.

Hey there!

I was using their lye relaxer in normal (regular). I loooved it. Maybe I'll ask my new stylist if she'll order it for me. She uses Mizani BB on me, but I still think it's a strong relaxer. Are you thinking about trying it?

Yes, I use phytorelaxer now and am pleased with it, but im thinking about switching to a lye relaxer at some point. I know elucence relaxers have a low ph around 11 and that is really good, because lye tears me up! I've read that some think Elucence is too gentle, but like you Mizani is entirely too strong for me. Glad to hear a fellow type 4 who thinks it straightens well.

Your hair is abosolutely Stunning btw:yep:

the conditioner is just ok for me. i have a bottle im almost finihed with. its more than half full but unless it wows me before im done i wont repurchase it.

You can purchase it online, and take it to your stylist.

That sounds good. I just got a new roll of saran wrap to use for my dc with that conditioner. Thats why I kinda like it when it gets cooler in the fall because I dont mind sitting under the hot dryer for 30-1hr for a good dc :lachen:

I've seen Elucence locally in a BSS called Optima on John street (off Fulton street) in lower manhattan. That BSS is my fav in the city. They also sell really good unrefined shea butter so I make the pilgrimage every month to get my stash.

There are some Salon in certain areas (Malls) that sell the Elucence products.
I buy them locally and the salon give you a free bottle of conditioner or poo of your choice from any salon line of products for free when you spend $50 bucks.
I just stocked up on the shampoo and conditioner.

I still order all of their other products online, but you have to have a license to buy the relaxers. There's one site (mr gee's) that you can order without a license, but I hear he can be kind of shady, so I don't know if I'll trust it. :ohwell:
