my hair. I want to bc again and start over. I'm sick of the hair now:sad: i hate to have him mad at me, but this is not his hair and don't have to deal with. i say it's my choice.:ohwell:

My Dh and I have an understanding, I don't tell you what to do with your head, you don't tell me what to with mine!

You should demand that he dye his hair and see what happens LOL BLONDE!!!!

I understand wat u mean, if told my husband I was going to cut he would hit the roof. Yes it is ur choic, But mj, do you have to cut it though? Remember we all have bad hair days. Ur avi pic looks good. Sleep on it first boo.

I have slept on it and I feel no different. I still want to cut it short. I'm going to ask him to dye his hair and see what he says.

Okay throwing questions at you, so bear with me.

I think some are looking at your avi going. Okay what am I missing?

Is it damaged
split ends
too dry
wrong color
wrong texture
too much......?????

Just trying to understand the reason so we can be sure you are cutting because you want a new style and/or to avoid whatever problems you are having now in the future.

You know we love you righ?

So what is making you sick of your hair? Let us help you with that, if we can.

Smooches. :yep:

LOL!!! MJ, gurl u a mess!!!. Leave him alone, LOL. Ok, tell us why exactly do you want to cut. Oh and by the way I love the color of ur hair.

I just hate it right now:ohwell:

If you want to have a happy marriage then you need to do whatever your husband says.....:giggle:

Sike

Just do you. He'll live with it.

Maybe wear a wig for a short while until the feeling passes. There is nothing wrong with your hair right now and if you cut it your will be setting yourself back to square one for no reason.

He asked me to use my bentonite in my hair, he told it's always pretty after I use the clay. I told him okay but if it doesn't act right after I do the bentonte cleansing i'm getting it cut. Oh and he said no to dying his blonde:lachen::lachen:

What?! No compromise?! MJ, I hope you get him for that!:lachen: I hope everything works out because I love your hair.:yep:

Have you considered relaxing or BKT or some other chemical service... or is it the length you don't like.

Your hair in your Avatar is beautiful... trying to understand why you want to get rid of it.:ohwell:

No chemicals, I probably just need a change:ohwell:

It's damaged, with split ends, and it's dry? So I guess steamers aren't worth it then huh?

What caused your hair to get like that? You should at least try to pinpoint your missteps so you don't make the same mistakes in the future.

I say you just go for it. You've been talking about doing it for awhile. Sometimes you just need a change. Honestly, I think about BCing again sometimes and may do it when I reach my length goal.

Your hair is very pretty...hey if you don't want it can I have it? Pretty please? Let me quit messing with you. I would pray for discernment because sometimes as married ladies we don't think of the impact our actions such as cutting our hair affects our man. I'm talking from a Christian stand point. We're supposed to do what we can as women to keep the peace in our homes, sometimes not what we want....Lord knows I've rolled my eyes at the thought but I know it's my duty. So if talking to hubby doesn't change his mind you may need to hang on to your locks to keep your hubby smiling...I doubt he is like horribly dominant and makes you wear a chain on your leg in which case you wouldn't be with him anyway right? So he may very well agree with you if you tell him why you want to cut....communicate honey, communicate. That's about the only advice I can give you because he's the love of YOUR life and it is your hair.

I'm just sayin'. She's been raving about her steamer but come to find out her hair is dry/damaged/split...I wasn't planning on buying a steamer but I want to make sure it's not because of the steamer (for research purposes of course).

I was going to suggest getting a steamer. Have you been using a steamer?
If I'd had mine before May I prolly wouldn't have had to cut mine off.

ITA that split ends need to go... maybe you can cut it gradually instead of shocking DH with a BC all at once?

To Help You with Your Research::lachen::lachen:

I would find that Highly Unlikely that Her Damage is/was a "Result" of Using a Steamer.

If anything, it should allievate many of the problems she listed. And She hasn't been steaming that long.

For Research Purposes::lachen::lachen:

If You Took a Poll -- I would surmise that you would probably get higher results from people experiencing "Benefits" from Steaming than "Damage" From actually using the Steamer.

My steamer is fine, I just wanted to change my hair, it's dry because I haven't done anything to it in the last couple of days, I have a few splits ends and I don't really think it's damaged, I'm just hating my hair right now. I just put some bentonite clay in it and I'm going to see how I feel about it afterwards.:spinning:

Okay so I rinsed out the clay and my hair felt better, then I made me a dc using HSR honey and some cupaucu butter. Then I'm going to moisturize with Afroveda Shea Alma and seal with jojoba oil. then twist whiile it's wet.

I just hate it right now:ohwell:
not a good reason to cut, you will probably regret it sooner than later. Try some colour, a blowout or protective style for a while. Don't do anything drastic! How is the afroveda treationg you?

I think you just need to put it away for a while...not in a bun or wig, but something that will really eliminate your need to think about what's on top of your head. I have never gotten so sick of my hair that I wanted to cut it off (after all, it's gonna grow back the same exact way), but I have gotten to the point where I wanted to relax or something. In those instances, I just put it in braids or twists with extensions. I'm sick of doing it everyday again, so I got a blowout (and a trim) and that made me feel a lot better, since I know I won't have to touch it for 2 weeks. My next move will probably be to get a weave so I don't have to think about it for even longer.

Just my two cents.
