i didn't want to try the lustrasilk shea buter because it was just a $2 cholesterol, but i did and man, was it worth it. it moisturizes and softens my hair.

My fave Dc is still Nexxus humectress. I voted for Keracare cause I heard lots of good stuff about it. I've used Lekair cholesterol before but still prefer Nexxus.

I just don't get it! That LustraSilk Cholesterol did NOTHING for me. I"m in search of "the" DC for me, but I keep running into this product. I guess I wasn't using it right and I'll give it another try.

I say try one of the other ones listed. Although I voted for Alter Ego.

But if you are trying to stay some-what Moderately Priced, try Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose or White Cameila. Both make great DC's.

Taking notes bcuz I don't use any of these products.
I love Silicon Mix and ORS, won't be changing anytime soon.

Girl me neither! I mean, its OK.....not bad, but not all that either. I realllly love Nexxus Humestress and I'm currently waiting on my Banana Brulee to arrive in the mail. Can't wait to try!

I use Nexxus Humectress for DC and my hair loves it (not everyones hair will agree with that), I've tried the Aphogee humectant and Kera Care humecto and I do not find them as moisturizing so I've been using them up when I co-wash. African's Best hair mayo also gives me great results, especially when my hair is natural

I can't wait until this search is over! I love Nexxus Humectress but just tried the new formula and although it detangled with ease something is not right. I am looking for a great moisturizing conditioner to replace it. Cholestrol unless things changed is protein, so is it because it has shea butter etc, it is okay to use w/o any follow up? I think silicon mix is protein too but domincians don't put in anything after. I think I am straight on the protein tip, but need something that is straight moisturizing. I do not like Aubrey's HSR at all.

Is it okay to use cholesterol, silicon etc w/o moisturizing after? What is a good set poo and conditoner to use that will really moisturize. I do not like dry hair and am looking for something that I can use at home so I am not running to beauty parlour all the time. I swear they snatch your hair out when they get good and ready. I can do that!

cholesterol is not a protein. it is a lipid (fat). it is moisturizing.

Jessicurl Too Shea Extra Moisturizing Conditioner! I used it as a DC, and it provides so much moisture, softness, and slip. I ordered it from curlmart.com.

LOL! Yeah, Memphis does have excellent water. I'm away at grad school now, in an area with water that is less than stellar.

But I've been doing well :D, thanks for asking!

You left ORS Replenishing off the list???

I thought that one was great!!!
That's what I've been using lately, but my hair isn't liking it anymore.
So I'm gonna have to upgrade.

I think I'm going with Nexxus Humectress or maybe the GVP version of it.

Or maybe of the ones on the poll.

Keeping my eye out on this thread :sekret:

Products I have used in your poll:

She Sent It-It was ok,work better as a overnight conditioner

Hairveda-under the dryer for 45min was ok, but overnight my hair was very soft

KeraCare-did very well with heat on my hair

Motions cpr-great protein when I had a perm. As a natural it was ok.

Happy Hair Growing!

I've only used the lustrasilk and the motions cpr. Neither are great. Motions Cpr is pretty decent, but heavy and difficult to rinse out of the hair. It is also a medium-strong protein condish.

^^^^^ i agree
if you are looking for a MOISTURIZING CON. I would go with the ELUCENCE i like the silicone mix but it is not an moisturizing as ELUCENCE mb
idk but i think silicone mix is a protein????

If oil is added to Silicon Mix, is it just as good as Elucence?

I've used all of them but the shescentit. I have used her other prods and love them.

Out of all of these, if you need a moisturizing condish, I like hairveda the best. And I'll tell you why, it works just as well with OR without heat.

So if you are in a rush, your hair will STILL be soft and detangled and manageable and glorious :) whether you had time to sit under dryer or not.

I'm always pressed for time, so that means alot to me.

Queen Helene. It's economical and gets the job done. I get the 5 lb. tub and it lasts a long time.

i really wish i like keracare humecto. i hated it.
i cant afford it, but i heard kenra makes a good moisturizing condish
joico makes a good reconstructer- k-pak
also, aphogee 2 min is a good protein condish, one of my staples
