Another newbie over here! Does anyone wash their hair like this? What kind of results do you achieve? It seems SO time consuming

Nope, more so because I'm afraid of tangling my hair. I like Lisa Akbari's other methods and tips though.

I wash my hair in 4-6 braids.

I do this when I'm being lazy, but unless I want to have a fit and absolutely hate my hair i always put it in sections once i put conditioner in. (i'm natural.) It's easier to start with sections in the first place, but it takes forever and sometimes for whatever reason it seems like its harder for me to get a good shampoo--with weaker shampoos i kind of like to just wash it all at once. with harsher ones i want that stuff out of my hair quickly, so sections it is.
