Since Kiwi is starting 2nd grade I figured i'd straighten her hair to give me a break for the 1st week of school. I straighten her hair maybe twice a year. I may start going to 4 times a year.

Since her hair is so dry (just like mine) I flatiron her hair while damp. Here are the pics:

She has a lot of hair but it seems to be fine, not heavy and thick.

I like it! What are you putting on it to keep it moist? Have you tried coconut oil or a creme like pure shea butter? Castor oil is also great but it would thicken it up.

What a beautiful little girl. She looks like a sweetheart.
Her hair is very pretty and has a nice sheen. Good job...

Today I put the Ors Olive Oil Hair lotion to keep it soft and help hold down the little fuzzies. I've not tried shea butter but it's something i've been thinking of. I may have some castor oil around here as well.

Thanks for the tips!!!

Aww thanks!

Well, I pretty much leave Kieran's hair alone. She wears her hair in either twists, plaits or puff ponytails about 99% of the time. I wash and moisturize as needed. For washing I use the Burt's Bee's baby body wash/shampoo and for conditioner usually its' Aussie Moist. For dc's I use the Pantene relaxed and Natural mask. Leave in's are either the neutragena silk touch or herbal essence long term leave in.

She's so pretty! She looks just like you :D
What is it like to have a little copy of yourself? :)

I love her hair straight and curly!
