Hey ladies, I wanted to show the results of my sew in now a couple days later and after a wash. I wanted to demonstrate how it starts to look a bit better after wash and blow dry. It is less shiny and meshes better. Here are pics of the font, back, and sides. I added some curly layers to it for style.

a little bit of my hair is still left out on the front and sides (and some in the back)

Nichi, your weaves are always PERFECT! Your stylist is on point and your hair blends beautifully!

Marvelous Daaaarling!!!!

How DO YOU get the leave out hair so shiny?? I really need to work on my "flat iron/curling" game!!!!! Those layers are fierce!

This looks great. I wish I could wear weaves but I get these urges to wash my hair at impromptu moments and I am afraid I wouldn't properly care for my hair underneath.

Can you please give some insight on how you care for your hair underneath and also how you maintain the hair that is left out?? I'm looking to rely on weaves for most of my transition and I need help!!

I'm waiting for these last two weeks with my pixie braids to hurry up and pass because I REALLY wanna try a new look, that weave is REALLY tempting to me but my trusty self installed senegalese twists are also calling my name:scratchch.....what to do what to do.....I LOVE the fact that the weave can last me three months though!! My twists sure can't do that!!!

I gotta really decide....the thing is, with my twists I get to play around with different colors more....idk....we'll haveta see:rolleyes:

Thanks everyone, I truly appreciate the kindness!

It looks very nice how long are you planning to stay with this?

I want to aim for until about December. 4 months. I think towards the end, I'll get Tinnell to cut/layer it into a bob and I'll rock that style for a bit. It'll be like a whole new style!

I think the Sleek n Smooth n Shine hair gloss/heat protectant gives my hair the shine. I swear by it. I have also noticed when my friends use my flat iron their hair seems shinier than usual. The layers are just something I learned that requires a flick of the wrist.

Beautiful. What do you do to your hair at night?

I use my silk scarf and wrap the edges and gather it all into my satin bonnet

I promise, it's really not hard, so dont stress. I just separate my left out hair with a bobby pin and tie up the weave. I wash my own hair separately and condition. I make sure to scrub my scalp. I then tie that hair back up with bobby pins. I lightly shampoo and condition the weave. I also lift parts of the the hair and use my nails and scratch/wash by the tracks under and above the cornrow. I hope this makes sense. I squeeze all the water out and let it airdry a little for 30 min. I apply a small amount of my shea butter moisturizer mix onto my OWN hair thats left out. I can from there:
1) blow dry/flat iron,
2) rollerset it and sit under the dryer
3) do a braid out on my hair and braid the weave.
4) just blow dry both my own hair and weave and just wrap it, no iron. 5) i've crimped it all before too.
I do this every weekend, but out of weave, I usually wash every two or three days. I hate dirty hair and I dont want to be one of those chicks that pats their head in public due to an itchy scalp from the weave :nono:

beautiful it looks just like your photos of your hair that you posted.
What kind of hair did you use?

wow, you think the weave ACTUALLY looks like my own hair? I think after a couple more washes, it'll look even less weave-y. This is the hair I used, Goddess Remi 1b 10/12in.

WORK IT! It looks just as beautiful as your own hair. I cannot wait till my hair grows out some more so I can rock a fierce weave like yours!!!
