I've done it lots of times. Conditioners, leave-ins, and moisturizers are all the same thing to me.

I would be scared to do something like this. Idk why. Doesn't seem right. How does the hair feel Msa? coated?

i do! i especially like to use a conditioner/water mix when wearing my (natural) hair in a bun, to help it lay flatter and stay moisturized in this HOT 100+ degree weather

I just tried it a couple of days ago with very good results using giovanni 50/50 because of all the fotkis and profile reggies I've stalked who said they used the 50/50 or the deeper moisture (not sure which or what?) but I loved it. I used it once the other day on dry hair. Then did henna, dc, and cold water rinse after applying 50/50(after dc and BEFORE light cold water rinse. Hope this makes sense!LOVE IT(with the right product)!HHG!

My hair feels great, like it normally does. I don't use anything that has ingredients that would just coat my hair so that may be why it works for me. I actually don't buy conditioners unless they have multiple uses.

Today I used Aubrey Organics White Camellia. In the past I've used whole foods brand conditioner, oyin honey hemp, giovanni conditioners, and others. I prefer adding everything to wet hair but ifnmy hair feels dry then I'll put some conditioner on it.

I've tried on my relaxed hair, not for me. However on my DD's natural hair I do it as part of her regimine. I love it for her.

I moisturize nightly with Vo5 Moisture Milks and seal w/oil on dry hair.....I love it !!! Works for me

I do... Usually with Giovanni 50/50 conditioner. Sometimes I might spray a lil
bit of water on my hair before... but normally it's dry.

I recently discovered that lacio lacio on dry hair is magic!!!!! My hair feels so soft, smooth and moist afterwards not coated or weighed down.

i just started this yesterday after reading up on it in another post. it works great for my hair, but i doubt if i could do this everyday on my freshly flatironed hair. i'm a 4a/b relaxed head.

I often use conditioner to moisturize, but not on dry hair. Maybe I just haven't found the right one but my dry hair doesn't absorb it very well and I'm usually left with white flakes. I'll generally uses a liquid moisturizer if my hair is dry. I will often, though, wet my hair a bit and then use conditioner to moisturize...just make sure it's all absorbed. Then an oil to seal.

I do. I use my conditioner as a moisturizer. I use Nexxus Phyto Organics Humectin w/ Manuka Honey and Coconut milk. It's my deep conditioner, prepoo, daily moisturizer and hair protector when I get retouches. Using a water-based moisturizer is a must for me. Those oil-based just sat on my hair and weighed it down. Also, I keep my ends moisturized with EVOO. :yep:

Yes, and I love it. I don't know why I didn't start doing it sooner. I wouldn't have purchased too many moisturizers. I'm using the BJ's wholeseale brand conditioner and it is soooo good. I like it better than a lot of the name brand conditioners i've tried.

I seal with olive oil. I don't do this if I'm wearing my hair out though.

doing this right now. I flat twist nightly with conditioner and then a little oil. I could never wear a twist out without doing this. My hair would dry out. You have to pick a good conditioner though.
