I want to spruce up my protective styles. Where are you ladies purchasing hair flowers and other adornments?

Are you making your own? I've done this once or twice in the past, and would appreciate any ideas.

Thanks!

I purchase cheap hair bands from Target or Ross and add flowers from Hobby Lobby

Good question OP! I went to Michael's arts and crafts store (NY), but the flowers there are way to large to make hair accessories...

I found some really nice ones at H&M a couple years back. I would just go to the dollar store and pick up one of their flowers. I would just spruce it up with some adornments from a craft store.

You're right. Sometimes, you gotta search for good sizes, or come back and look through new inventory. Its something I've been meaning to do but never got around to it. I've done it only once and the flowers fell off after about a week or so.

I'm on a bunning kick and have been finding really cute stuff at H&M - i'm too lazy to make my own.

Whimsy, I love your hair in the siggy!!!!!!

You're the second person to suggest H&M...I gotta swing by there tomorrow.

Thanks i love it too LMAO. Yes H&M is a definite must. But be careful...you may end up walking out with $80 worth of accessories...not..that i did or anything....:look:...i'm just sayin....it's possible.

Try the teen stores too, like Forever 21, Charlotte Russe,Urban Outfitters etc...they have them. Also, I find them at BSS's in the area. They usually have them and they are super cheap like $2 with tons of color options

CVS, target, and Asian BSS's.
I got this one at CVS:

Also walgreens.com has some cute ones for us and little girls:

I bought some really cute crochet flowers with alligator clips attached on ebay. Her prices are awesome! 8 hair clips for $8.99. The lady who makes them is really nice. I bought some headbands with flowers from her, too.

I make my own. I buy gorgeous blooms from craft stores, deconstruct them and then reconstruct them on good quality bobby pins. I get exactly what I want, they are one of a kind and cheaper than what's at the store. Plus...I love crafting.

I purchase a variety of flowers from Dollar Tree and then pull it off of the stem and use a bobby pin to secure it.

I used to get them at Target, but the selection is somewhat limited. I've bought three really cute ones from Macy's for about $7 each and they double as hair ornaments or lapel pins.

Do you mind posting the seller on here?

I would suggest Walmart or a craft store in your area...just select flowers of the right size...and use a bobby pin to secure them, or hot glue a barrette or large bobby pin to them...that's the cheapest way.

Stores that you can buy them...Claires, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Body Shop, Rave, pretty much any cheaper teen store...and the Asian BSS. The good BSS's have a great selection of hair candy, for extremely cheap prices.

I got a really cute headband with a flower at Ross' for $2.00. I check Ulta when they're having sales. I have a small head, so I check the little girl's section too. Goodwill or any other thrift store can be great for inspiration, flowers, or scarves - and a lot of them are made of really good material too. :yep:

Forever 21 can be hard to navigate in store b/c there's so much to look at, but their website is really well organized and the shipping is affordable.

I got the one in my AV at Rite Aid. It's by conair. The big flowers I love them.I got one at H&M and SO tossed it cause Nessy from clean house turned him off with the flowers all the time.
