This is interesting. I used to use pantene, but since I got rid of cones in my regimen, it had to go. Anyway, I enjoyed looking at the videos. However, I do wish there were more naturals.

Another question I have is how are (most )naturals supposed to run their hands through their hair? I mean this is relaxed and natural, right? It's not always possible. I'd be in tears if I had to do that dry hair.

Well, most of the naturals there have been able to do it. Though most had their hair straightened or have a loose texture. The way they described what they wanted done, it was clear they did not have an afro in mind. Things like run your fingers through your hair, lift it up and let it fall, swing it side to side. These are generally things kinky hair does not do. You can see the natural winners from last year to get an idea of the type of natural they want.

I agree. Some of them were so boring I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Plus her hair was actually impressive. You don't see "ok" or "average" heads of hair in shampoo commercials.

my vote is for kfields... a.k.a Kishna Foxie, she's an SBH hair magazine model and i think she's sooooo pretty. I met her about two years back when my cousin went to a casting call, and she was so nice and friendly. Plus her hair has probably grown 6in or more since i seen her.

I am surprised by the number of women that didn't follow the 6 simple steps. If the judges are strict, at least half of the women would be out! I was also surprised that only a handful out of the many used a product that wasn't from the Relaxed and Natural line.

They might *think* they know what they want, but if someone with beautiful afro hair (like you, Sera, or mscoco) entered, I think they'd see our real potential. They've probably never seen long healthy 4b hair. But if they do... I think they could with the Nature Fusion Collection one... so if anyone uses that product... hint hint... I bet half those women dont use those products!

I liked KFields, TsyHaye and CharlyJ. Some of them had damaged hair and I'm unsure why they submitted videos. I did wonder if all of the people used the actual products. Some of them showed their bottles and you could see the indention in them to indicate they had been used. However, others that showed their products looked like they were brand new bottles! Just and observation.

I get what you're saying with the bolded, but you also have to consider that maybe that was a newer bottle that they just opened? People do run out of products and repurchase them. They are staples for a reason.

I have a liter size Elucence conditioner that is still partially full, that I use as my main conditioner. But it being full doesn't really say anything, because I've gone through about 4 liters of that stuff already. I just re-filled it.
