erplexed So many ladies here have beautiful hair. We seen them grow it from fried and dry to thick and silky! Then without notice, they close albums, regimen links, and fotki.

Why is it that when we meet our goals, we remove the information that would be most helpful to other women on the same journey? I don't get it!

I closed my fotki - because I refuse to pay 30 bucks to keep it.....

People will also close their albums, fotkis, etc because of rude comments. A person may post progress pictures and she might be very pleased with her progress. However, trolls can steal a portion of that joy: so the person locks her fotki.

Also, people have had their pictures stolen and used on other sites without credit or compensation.

If you are interested in visiting a person's album, send a PM and ask for the password if it isn't on the "About Me" tab of her profile.

Great points, ladies! I forget that there is a fee for certain albums and that "picture piracy" is rampant in the hair industry.

Still with so many options available to us here as members, e.g. blogs, albums, its still a little hard to understand.

For instance, one of my favorite albums to stalk was Lavendar's. She had awesome info, progress pics, recipes. I guess I'm just whining cuz I miss it!

You don't have to pay for Fotki. When you run out of space delete the original images... you won't loose the images, they just get converted to a smaller.

On Fotki, every month you can request more space. I do that each month even though I rarely update. There's tons of people whose Fotkis I miss. I guess a lot just get tired of rude comments or having their hair and sometimes face all over the net.

This past weekend people were having problems with view there pictures and other peoples pictures on there fokti. I contacted them, but haven't had a chance to check it. I will check it when I get off from work this evening.

how do you ask for more space?

Click on "Go to", then click on "my account", Under 'account information' (on the far right hand side) , all the way on the bottom right under your email, there's a link that will say "request more space" or something to that effect....click it...u can ask for more space every 30 days i believe HTH
