I came across this while looking at how they refresh thinning dreads with kinky hair. It just seemed so ridiculous I thought i'd share.

Sabrina does a lot of things that don't make sense...that's why I'll never go to her shop again.

I feel so bad about her situation. She seems like a sweet girl. At least she really didn't care about all that hair coming out. It makes me feel better knowing that she was okay with it. HOWEVER...If that was me, I would be balling :cry: That would be the worst day EVER!!

well yeah, if you detangle it dry, you WILL be screaming.

she shoulda slapped some VO5 on that....

I just added this to my list of things that I never did before I came here. I didn't remember until now. It never crossed my mind to put some conditioner before raking the comb through my head. :wallbash:

Girl me either!

What's funny is that my sister used to be on her shops website. But she said she'd never go there again either.

wait, y'all, i'm confused. aren't you supposed to not wet it before detangling first? or what are the step? take out weave, then slather with conditioner, then detangle?

I take out the weave/thread, slather with conditioner, and then begin to unbraid the braids. I stop and detangle as I go and braid it up in big plaits.

Then only when I'm done with all of that do I wet my hair with water.

I don't think I would ever step foot in that shop. The way that she was ripping the comb through her hair.... :nono: And the fact that she was like, "I'm going to lose a lot of hair.... I have short broken off pieces, but oh well." Ain't no way. I'd be inconsolable.

The one and only time I got my hair braided there they insisted on using brown gel to do my braids so when she dipped them in the end my hair had a brown stain on it.

And, they make you pay when they're halfway through your head. After they get the money the slow wayyyyy down since they have no reason to keep moving quickly.

That place is just...ugh. I will NEVER go back.

Wow, is Sabrina the lady combing the hair? Was I seeing correctly at her edges? They aren't there correct?

They are quite possibly the slowest braiders in the universe.

Oh man... brings back memories of my mom brushing my hair in the morning. If I cried she'd slap me upside the head with the brush LMAO

I always wondered how long her hair was under those braids.

ETA: That video's bad for business. I wouldn't want to get my braided by someone who's braids are that hard to remove or if their takedown techniques was that rough.

ETAA: Why did I grab my scalp and gasp when that comb broke?!! :lachen:
