I don't know why I haven't taken many of my wet hair, but here are a couple I was able to drum up.

I experience no knots or tangles or breakage with the treatment in.

good thread, i was wondering about the curls reverting and/or loosening. did you ladies have it flatironed and blown dry when it was initially done? do you flat iron every day?

My curls have not fully reverted after about 4 months. I used the Liquid Keratin system in Ulta. I followed directions, blow dried, & flatironed. I didnt flat iron everyday.

This is the only shot I have... I don't have any product on my hair, a creme would have given better definition.

I believe this picture is from Feb.
I have another picture from the other tonight and post it here when I get home. :yep:

I only flat iron when applying the bkt. I'm mostly a wash n go and wet bun gal (pics in fotki). I bkt for manageability and protective style all of the time.

From an older thread...

Thanks ladies. I want to only touch-up my curl once a year & I've been thinking about using BKT to help with the stress at the demarcation line. Wait is that an appropriate term for a jheri curl? LOL

Hi Nakialovesshoes! I think it's very appropriate. OT, your hair is the business!!

I think, more than likely, your previously processed hair, would go bone straight, though. How would you feel about that?

Oh no! I was hoping that I could remain curly, just tame my roots in the process.

Mmhmm, I figured as much. When the cuticle is ruptured in any way, as with a chemical process or damage, the hair will go super duper straight. Which is a plus if you're a person that wants bone straight hair but can't relax bone straight. You could texlax and follow with bkt and have super straight hair while maintaining strength. In your case, however, this would be a negative, so the bkt may not be the thing.

Though this isn't what I wanted to hear right now, I still thank you for this info. I was trying to decide between the BKT & hiding my hair for the winter with a sew-in. Now I know I will have to go with the sew-in idea for now - trying to reach some length goals by weaving this winter & next winter.

However, once I reach my length goals, I can just BKT for the winter & wear my hair straight during the winter months & just touch up my curl in the beginning of the summer & wear it curly in the summer months.
