I have not used heat in about 2 years and I have gotten out of the habit of using it. Maybe in December for a true length check.

i voted 10 - 15...i've been wearing weaves so far this year. occasionally i would press the new growth but that's rare

i have used heat twice this year!...i love that i get less breakage and knots while straightened BUT the dryness is horrible (im pretty sure when i get rid of the sabino i'll solve that issue too :yep:)

Voted 20+ I've been doing a much adjusted Ateyaaa regimen, since April and I love the results, I've got no breakage and can rock my own hair more now, I've finally learnt what works for me and I'm sticking to it:yep:

About 4 times. Actually, it's easier for me to care for my hair when it's flat ironed (i.e. bunning, baggying, low-manip, etc.)

Have not used any heat this year....the last time I used heat was July 2008. I think it has added to the health of my hair. Oh I use a heat cap for deep conditioning but no direct heat.

Four -- January to trim, February to check the health of my ends, and twice this past month. Four times in 6 months seems like a LOT, but I used to do it 4x a week so I guess it's not that bad. LOL

I need to get back into the habit of rollersetting. I rollerset then flat ironed my roots the first time I straightened this month, but the second time I was lazy and I blow dried then flat ironed. My hair was so so dry the second time!! I'm also never flat ironing twice in a month again; I feel like there was more hair on the sink the second time around (not a lot, just MORE). :nono: I am getting so paranoid about losing my progress. To think, I used to make fun of you guys who thought your hair would dry up and break off when you wear it down! Hopefully this will go away when I hit BSL.

hmm..lets see if i can remember :P
i think maybe 2 or 3 times..i've only flatironed / curling ironed once this year and blowdried twice i think..I'm not going to use heat again in a long time..ayurveda all the way!

Zero.

I'm way too lazy to do anything that requires heat. I haven't used heat on my hair since 2006.

Zero. My siggy is from Nov 16 08. I don't have the best blowdryer, so it is a lot harder to get it straight for my hair is very thick.

Oh my your siggy! Shrinkage is really something. You have beautiful hair!

Zero,
I have not used heat in my hair since February 2008

And it's obviously working for you. I saw your hair in another thread somewhere and it is thick and lucious. I'm trying to get where you are!

None!

It takes too damn long, lol.

Plus I haven't gone anywhere special enough to justify spending an hour straightening it.

So far for the year for me, twice. Once in January and again in May. I have realaly been trying to stay away from heat as much as possible for me. I try to use it only when I am putting in new extension braids for easy installation.

Maybe twice to get a complete dry before braiding this year. I just don't :nono: I have lots of shrinkage too :yep: If I could just comb less i'd be ok :wallbash:
